Is it just me or does the new Get Smart trailer actually make you NOT want to see the movie?

To answer your question, I’m not sure…
But I will tell you one thing - Anne Hathaway is STILL super hot in this trailer (and movie)!! :)

Oh man, I see this movie last week in a press screaning here in Chile and I can tell you that this movie really sucks. The Begining it’s really lame, weak, etc. ¿The ending?…. ¡it’s Worst!. There’s no real villain. You can see the ending so early….
The only thing that makes this movie not a total waste it’s the casting and a few action sequences. The movie isn’t funny. This it’s like that damn Simpsons movie or even Shrek 3. You see the best jokes on the trailers. Seriously.

It looks as good/bad as it did in previous trailers… except this one has the trailer voice guy in full lame effect.
I tried to read Dr. Malo’s comment. I want credit.

the music… they mess up.. and the narrator not helping -_-;

Actually, this trailer is funnier than the first one, but that’s not saying much is it? Why was The Rock necessary if the movie’s concept is so good?
June 4th, 2008 at 5:00 am
peteo,
Because the Rock is actually funny, and he’s not a bad actor either. After listening to the commentary for The Rundown I basically threw every preconception I had about the guy out the window. I pretty much want to see this guy in films that can put him in more diverse ranges too.
Dwayne Johnson is smart as hell and he has muscles. He’s a nerds walking nightmare.

I liked the trailer. Not stupid hilarious but it was okay.
I also thought the Pineapple Express trailer didn’t have too many funny parts. But everyone in the comments here thought it was the next best thing since sliced bread.
The internets are fickle.

The music is all wrong in this trailer, plus, yeah: cheesy voiceover guy.

Heaven forbid they go cliche with a tried and proven trailer style. This caters to exactly the audience they want t drop money on seeing the flick. It’s a studio film ripping off an old TV series, what the fuck kind of trailer were you expecting?? Some things will never change. Deal.

Anne Hathaway is fourteen kinds of hot. Steve Carell much less so.

I was beginning to warm up to the idea of this movie since the TV
spots have had a couple of chuckle moments, but my instinct
says this movie is going to be lame with more eye rolls than
laughs. Was the gay joke neccessary? It looked completely out
of place, ugh. Judging from the trailer a lot of the jokes look forced
and there doesn’t seem to be much chemistry between Hathaway
and Carrell.
I cringe half of the time Carrell is doing his bit. Anne sometimes
looks bored. The only reason I’m interested in watching this is
for Dwayne Johnson, I believe he’s going to steal the show even
though his character seems a little pointless.

I’ve been saying this sucks for months.
This film looks tragic.
What a horrible tribute to the original show.
I totally blame WB for screwing this up.
They should have hired Mel Brooks to write the film.
Carrell’s performance looks bland, unfunny and uninspired.
He kills the character of Maxwell Smart with his Office performance.
Dwayne Johnson walking into a post. Hahahahaahahahahahaa. That’s sooooooo funny the 20th time I see it. Yeah right.
What a huge waste of time and talent.
This film is gonna bomb and I couldn’t be happier.

the trailer is not great overall, but the swordfish joke made me laugh out loud. but maybe that’s just cause i have a man-crush on alan arkin.

Don Adams is turning over in his grave!

someone call the bomb squad, because this baby’s gonna blow!
June 4th, 2008 at 9:53 am
it wasn’t that bad, and jeeeeeeeesus chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiist miss anne is hot!
June 4th, 2008 at 9:56 am
Bonus Points for casting (Hathaway, Arkin and Terence Stamp), but the best it can hope for is a spot on the Netflix queue, I think.

I can honestly say this is one of the worst trailers I’ve ever seen.
Im definitely not seeing this movie.
June 4th, 2008 at 11:02 am
It makes me not want to see the movie. It makes me hate everyone involved with the movie. It’s so frigging bad it makes me want to punch Carell in the face. I dislike that trailer so much that I’m seriously slightly less in love with Pam Beesly because she works with Michael Scott who is played by the actor in this stinking pile of fail.
I’m not giving these people a dime for this movie. I’d rather spend the money on Iron Man again.
June 4th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
I didn’t need the trailer to not want to see the movie. The simply fact that Steve Carrell is in it is enough to keep me away from it already.

ше was funny a little and Ann is SO hot. She is the one who solds this movie
June 5th, 2008 at 12:06 am

Anyone who saw this movie and didn’t laugh hysterically is crazy! This movie was HI-LAR-I-OUS!!! Four of us went to see it together, and all four of us thought the same thing.
