Judd Apatow Stand-up comedian

Until today not much has been revealed about Judd Apatow’s directorial follow-up to 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up. We knew that it would be more of a relationship drama compared to his previous films (”It’s a comedy, but it has more drama in it,” Apatow said in March. “A hilarious drama is what I’m going for.”) and that Seth Rogen, Adam Sandler and Leslie Mann were signed to star in the film.

This weekend Rogen revealed to MTV that the plot focuses on stand-up comedians. Apatow started doing stand-up his senior year in high school and even opened for Jim Carrey. Hanging around Adam Sandler, he eventually realized that he was better at writing jokes then telling them, and worked for Tom Arnold and Roseanne Barr before co-creating The Ben Stiller Show. The rest is history. I wonder if his next film could be at all semiautobiographical? Sandler also spoke to MTV, confirming the film’s change of tone.

“There is a lot of stuff going on in the move that is pretty heartbreaking,” admits Sandler, who insists: “It’s very funny… All of [my friends] were baffled at how funny it was.”

I’m positively sure Sandler’s entourage were baffled at the humor. These are the people that have been telling Adam to produce their movies like “Dicky Dirt: Former Deuce The Animal Hot Chick Bigalow Grandmas Boy”

I just voted this film 1 star on IMDB.

I thought that’s what his past two were??
