The Incredible Hulk

Universal has released two new clips from The Incredible Hulk. I’ve been saying this for months, but I think Hulk will be the sleeper hit of the summer (maybe not in box office sales, but with fans). The first clip, which is available in HD on Yahoo or embedded below, features The Hulk destroying a police car in his fight with Abomination.

Two more clips after the jump.

The second clip shows what happens when the Hulk and Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) come under attack from the military. Watch the clip embedded below or in High Definition on MTV.com.

Update: IGN added a third clip, embedded below, which features a fight in the park between military commando Emil Blonsky and the Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk hits theaters on June 13th 2008.

    I think you are right Peter. This will be the sleeper hit. You can see where they have fixed the CGI in the segment. It looks pretty good. The second segment, though I hate to admit this, doesnt look as good you know. But, like I have said before, it is almost impossiblt to make a 7-8 foot 1000 pound green monster look real, so for what they have done so far, I dont think it looks that bad, definitely better then the Ang Lee version you know. I think this movie will do at least 200 mil combined at the box office. Which all in all I think will be pretty good for the film. Plus, I think Nortons script and acting will shine in this movie. People will get to see him like they never have before and that will be a big plus for this movie.... Anthony

    Im really ditecting a theme with the using broken vehicles as melee weapons/shields thing. I saw that sequence w/ the military at comic con and HULK pretty much used them for that whole sequence there too. Does anyone who reads the comic often know if he does that a lot in the book too?

    I think with Ed Norton playing such a big part, and with these new clips showing off some of the action, this is a movie to look forward to. I have no idea how it will do at the box office, as it sill doesn't seem to be advertised much, but I hope that if it's an entertaining flick, that it will be reflected in the box office. After Indy 4, I'm hoping for something good.

  • I have to agree, these new clips have done a lot to restore some hope, they're pretty hard core. I don't expect photo-realism, just damn good effects and these are starting to look damn good. Bring it on and let's see this in full glory.

    See thats the thing, the CGI is iffy but it just looks good. Hopefully the story and what they show will make up for it and you wont even notice how bad the CGI is...

    Oh man this looks freakin awesome. At first I was not sure I thought it would lame, but having seen this and having faith in Norton script rewrites I am sold. The only thing some of the CGI is off but hey its a big green monster there is no way to make it realistic and blend it into the background in my opinion. Other than that can't wait. Sleeper hit indeed!!!

    isnt the hulk supoose to get stronger the more angry he gets, am sure that happened in the first movie...and also happens in the comics and cartoons

    Ed Norton is just awesome, and these great clips didn't even have him in them.

    Plus I hear Tony Stark makes an appearance, adding to the awesome.

    I'll have to admit that at first glance I was luke warm on the idea of a new Hulk. I feared it would be butchered and left to rot in the shadow of summer mega-hits.

    Now that they have been tipping their hands a little to get the buzz going, I am pretty excited to see it. Here's to hoping you're right about it being a sleeper hit.

    The third IGN clip was intense for the exception of the matrix style backflip other than that awesome.

    I mean I'm stoked to see this, but these action sequences look very cartoony and video game like. The movement and the fighting. Still I'm going to see this I don't care much about that.

    The part where the hulk rips the car in two and uses them as boxing gloves is straight out of the incredible hulk video game. I'm not sure how that makes me feel. Mostly sad.... for me.... because I recognized it...

    Have you guys lost your minds? I have no word to express how cheesy the Blosky/HUlk fight in the park looks. And as far as the street fight, none of the cgi really looks cutting edge. I don't think there be even one believable scene with Hulk.

    they never really did the whole using cars for boxing gloves thing in the comics, but it was a really popular feature in the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2 video game.

    @DREW: I can't remember seeing it in the comics but i do remember seeing it in the Videogame Hulk Ultimate Destruction from Radical, maybe Radical had seen it in a comic book, but for me it's seems like Radical invented it. They called it Weaponization.

    I can think of about 100 other things I'd like to do with 2 consecutive hours this summer than watch this movie. Even with the new clips, I'm thinking Hulk is this year's Spawn.

    I think this movie could actually do well at the box office. It's the first big action movie coming out after Indiana Jones but its got enough room to have let Indy burn off a lot of its demand before it comes out. Than you look at what comes after it and for 2 weeks it faces The Love Guru, Get Smart, and Wall-E, not exactly the same demo. Plus there's Wanted but the R-rating is going to hurt its box office no matter how cool it looks. Than after those 2 weeks its the fourth of july weekend so it should get one last bump before starting to fade. Its possible.

  • Some replies: CGI is really cleaning up (will continue until release). If you were dosed with radiation you would look like a zombie too. It has been reported that spidey and hulk were the two biggest comic grossing marvel characters (parallels for them too in the movie, watch for Daily Bugle and Stark Industries advertisements in the city). The park fight shows the progression of the transformation of Blonsky, he keeps dosing himself after failing repeatedly. Abom may actually kill Betty Ross so be prepared. This will be a great movie even if Abom looks nothing like he should. Geek mode off.......

    these are amazing clips! i ike how they put detail into his skin (wrinkles) instead f being a big gren blotch of green like the fist one. i also love how they made hima good size. the first on his had was the size of ahuman. that was really unrelistic, the first one had no action and broered me to tears. the first one looks like it could be one of the years greatest movies though. i hope t doesnt turn out lik ironman and have no acion in it. but from what i see there will be alot of action! looks fantastic!
