I just saw this, and this is about the 100th time I've heard of 'the runaways' I'm gonna go buy vol. 1 tomorrow and get it over with, everything of Vaughan’s I like, so I'm actually pretty excited to read it...now that its summer, I'll have time to. Pretty excited to hear that something of Vaughan's is coming to the big-screen!

@Sixfeetunderthegun: 100 Bullets TV Series? That would be mindblowing. It would be even more awesome if the series would have 100 episodes. =D

Again to Runaways: Another reason why i didn't like the books was that it was just to much stuff going on, i mean, come on, the one is a robot, the girl is a skrull, a magican, a vampire and so on, it was ... way to much.

Hell. Yes. One of my favorite new comics. Also, Brian K. is a pretty flawless writer. So yeah, I'd like to see some justice done for this.

I agree, it would work better as a television show.

I can't see how people would find these kids annoying or anything like the crap shown on "The Hills." The one thing that always kind of hit me when reading this was that these kids seemed more real and more wholesome than anything teens are digesting these days.

Loved the book. Actually, just about everything Vaughan has done has been good. Wasn't a huge fan of his "Ultimate X-Men" work because it was like "Runaways" at the Xavier mansion. But, "Y", "Ex Machina" and "Runaways" are all phenomenal.

As much as I hate to say it, I can see Capt. Awesome and YoungZe's points of view, but I still enjoyed the book. Nathaniel is right though, it's one of those books that would've worked a lot better as a TV series. Like "100 Bullets" (someone make this into an HBO series!!!) or "Fables".

Okay, it's awesome (and inevitable) that Runaways is coming to the moving picture medium. However, Marvel's got it all wrong. With the teen drama and witty dialogue, Runaways needs to be a TELEVISION SHOW, not a movie! It has perfect potential to be a great ongoing, and enough storyline to keep it going until it branches off into its own non-comic stories. Are you listening, Marvel? Probably not...

Oh, and no Fannings for the Molly part, thank you very much.

Hold your tongue! The last thing those reality t.v. wannabes need are superpowers! Heaven forbid.

Haven't read it but heard about it. Could be cool if they do it right, I guess.

Runaway's is excellent and if you haven't already, find a copy and read it. And for the love of god, buy the bigger collection if you can because the small manga sized books are really washed out and totally detract Alphona's artwork.

Brian K. Vaughan's works have always seemed epic enough for film and this story tackles the superhero genre in an extremely fresh way that I hope translates onto the big screen.
