There is a lot of laughter and bloodshed to soak up in this new red band trailer for the Ben Stiller directed Tropic Thunder, so call up the neighborhood kids, pass around those mysterious wine coolers inhabiting the fridge and sit back for explosions and expletives set to Edwin Starr’s propulsive summer anthem “War.” Oh, but no Tom Cruise, that’s still a surprise.

I am torn in nearly every direction by this movie. Robert Downey Jr looks great, it has Coogan which is always a plus. But then…there’s a ton…Like Stiller…That kills me

This looks hilarious. I could name a shit load of comedies who don’t come close to this kind of laughter in a trailer. RDJ is going to tear it up. I actually like Ben Stiller. I loved his TV show, his movies, even if Meet the Fockers was crap. I’ll take Ben Stiller’s comedy, as of late, over Jim Carrey. My only annoyance…having his wife in all the movies now. She is not good. You can love your wife…but let her get her own movie roles.

I have seen this movie and I promise all of you that it will go down as one of the best comedies of all time. Anybody on the fence will get off come August and they start to hear there friends quoting all of the hilarious dialogue. The word of mouth will be sick and it is going to be a blockbuster.

Just because Ben Stiller takes a few paycheck roles does not make him not funny. You can always tell when he’s put his whole effort into a project and this looks like a more personal one for him (in the sense that he’s more creatively involved).

I too was sick of Stiller, but I also have always felt that deep down he is seriously disturbed, in a good way. This movie looks amazing.

This movie is going to be hilarious! So much so, that I’ll make a huge, if not complete bonehead prediction- Robert Downey Jr. is going to be nominated for an Oscar. His transformation and performance speak so highly to his versatile, ingenious abilities. And if the movie boasts some genuine social commentary, then again, I predict RBJ will be nominated for one of the golden Oscars. Lastly, not that I need to mention it, but I’m an American Black man and find absolutely no offense- more so, I’m excited to see Hollywood embark on social satire, as well as parody itself and its own ego-driven, celebrity worship machinery.
