Saw had a really great and original premise, and Jigsaw is one of the best slasher horror villains to have come along in years. Are there moments in these films that are poorly executed? Absolutely. But no more so than the highly geek-praised Hostel films, which have about three good scenes between the two. Another good premise, but completely lame execution. What I was trying to say is that the Jigsaw scenes in the 4 movies that have been released so far contain a really great character and story. This gets overlooked by the ridiculous gore and dumb victims. Which is pretty standard for most horror movies. I suspect that some of you are just not horror fans. I love it when Danny Glover discovers some guy tied up in the lair of the bad guy, and instead of freeing him he hides to see what the bad guy is going to do. Priceless-ly bad.
