I’m suprised how flexible JB is. I’m shocked that he didn’t split his fashionable white pants. I will say, this is much cooler than Seinfeld hanging from a wire in a Bee suit.

but seriously, beyond cheap puns, why is stuff like this given full stage access at cannes? i thought it was a little more prestigious than that.

You’re saying that 40 pandas and Jack Black isn’t “prestigious” ?? It’s not like they have homeless people and cheap drunks opening the festival.
Remember it’s a “festival” and I’d say there’s certainly something festive about 40 pandas and Jack Black doing russian split jumps :)

My favorite person… ever? He’s at least one of them. I admit, I agree with skaught that when I think of Cannes, I think of red carpets & serious after-dinner parties, but I think it’s fun that they put on this kind of entrance - makes the festival seem more accessible, or fun :)

What’s the point of doing something like this?
“Hey remember when Jack black showed up with 40 pandas for a few minutes…” “Yeah”
…
???
That Panda is still ugly.

i just don’t understand how a film like kung-fu panda is even allowed into cannes. i imagine even a film like kingdom of the crystal skull wouldn’t be allowed if it weren’t for the iconic strength and historical impact the previous three films had on cinema.

skaught,
You’re talking about the same film festival where people go to peddle their films to try and land a deal with studios. I don’t know where you get this “holier than thou” theme for Cannes from.
May 15th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
because of the quality of films to have won the palme d’or.

DO WANT
