Jonah Hill

It seems like we’ve been reporting a new WTF sequel/remake/adaptation story everyday for the last week. The latest involves Jonah Hill, who is in negotiations with Sony to develop a movie adaptation of the popular 1980’s television show 21 Jump Street, which starred Johnny Depp. Hill would work on the screenplay, serve as executive producer, and possibly star. The show focused on a group of young cops who went undercover in high schools and colleges. I’m sure the Hill’s big screen take would likely take a more comedic approach. Hey, at least they aren’t making a sequel to Donnie Darko or Point Break… oh, wait… [EW]

  • what a joke. why does the industry even take this guy serious? Pathetic!
  • I have to admit I lol'd at the mental image.

And for the record, I don't know if Jonah Hill is really the type of guy who wants to be taken seriously.
  • YEAH, AND THEY COULD CAST NICK CANNON IN IT...
Oh, that's right. He's already done something Jump Street-ish.
  • I meant serious as in his abilities as an artist. This fat boy is not funny, his jokes are for 6 graders. he sucks and he'a a no talent. NEXT!
  • He's only good in the annoyingly funny fat friend role...and I think that's because he's not acting! Stick to your bread'n'butter, Jonah. You're not Seth Rogen.

No. Please no. Can we leave TV shows - new or old -
    on the little screen!

Its like I'm living in a nightmare parralell dimension.
Where any fat no-talent cheetoes eating sloth gets a multi-picture deal and producer cred....

    A true WTF film.

This is total BS. I don't believe a word of it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a complete fabrication.
  • odd
    another EPIC FAIL!!!!!
  • seth rogen is the king of the no talents. wake up people. we are forced to watch these brats while the people with real talent and no connections are sidelined. i am sick of them.
  • This plan HAS been fucked since Jump Street.
  • LOTNorm
Wow, I'm surprised by hating going on of Hill and Rogen. Not only am I a fan, but I assumed most were. Which, I still believe most are.

With that aside, this is a terrible idea. 21 Jump Street would have been a decent movie the twenty or so years ago that it was on, but not now.
