A new photo from Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno has been released. Click on the image above to enlarge. I’m glad to see Smith returning to his Hockey roots, a running theme in his past films. I also very much digg the name of the hockey team: the Monroeville Zombies. I’m sure this jersey will eventually end up for sale on Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, which means I’ll have to slap some cash down. Yes, we’re fanboys… Smith also reveals some new details in his latest blog entry:
- The first official test screening for the film will happen on Tuesday night somewhere in the midwest.
- The current runtime of the film is 1:45
- The first Internet-only teaser trailer will go live sometime early next week on QuickStopEntertainment. We can’t wait!

Monroeville is a suburban area of Pittsburgh, PA. About 5-10 miles Northeast of the city. It’s where Dawn of the Dead (the original) was filmed. And also the setting of this film. As well as what you mentioned above. It all ties in to the ‘tribute’ to the area.

im hoping that kevin smith goes back to his roots here with the vulgar, pop-cultural, and of course hockey related gags. a team named THE ZOMBIES ?? doesnt get much funnier than that.

Monroeville is where I work and where Zack and Miri was filmed, at the same mall as Dawn of the Dead, like the other poster said. I made drinks for Kevin and Seth a few times throughout the shoot here, they were both really cool and dealt with the crazy “sign this puh-lease” fans very politely.
We also have the world record for the largest zombie walk in the world, you know, naturally.

anybody else get the feeling that this movie is going to be really really financially successful? i’m thinking it might be smith’s biggest monetary hit out of em all, but i’m not sure how it’ll fare against other r-rated rom/com’s.
you guys agree? also, i’m dying to see the teaser, because i can’t figure out what this is gonna be like, and like ya’ll im an askewniverse junkie!
