Images Removed at Request From Warner Bros

/Film reader KillingJoke just sent me 40 high resolution production photos from The Dark Knight. Some of these are clearly not new, but have never been released at this high res. A good portion of the photos appear to be new. They appear to be part of an official release, and I really don’t consider any of these photos spoilerific since no plot points are shown that couldn’t already be seen watching the theatrical movie trailers. Enjoy the photos after the jump. As always, click to enlarge.

ditto sue + R.A.D.I.C.A.L. - and i’m sorry to keep repeating myself guys, but i am so bummed that heath won’t be here to share this with us. these are the coolest production stills i’ve seen on /film (imo).

and how in the hell did he make a gruesomly scarred up homicidal maniac still appear attractive?!?!

Fucking awesome, I can’t wait, PETER YOU ARE SO LUCKY.

Seriously, this movie will be 10000 times better than Indiana Jones

The Dark Night = Greatest batman ever.

  4. Gravatar

Suddenly, William Fitchner. Is he even in this movie?

  5. Gravatar

im a bit hesitate to state that this will be ‘the greatest batman movie ever’ considering no one has even seen it :P also, im a bit worried about this hype… considering what happened with spider-man 3 last year… believe me, im a big batman fan in the comics/movies/television… but cmon guys, isnt this a bit early to be making such delcarations…other than that, pics looks great… hopefully the plot will be great…

  6. Gravatar

Christopher: he apparently plays “Gotham National Bank Manager”

  7. Gravatar

the big question is: why does batman go to hong kong?

  8. Gravatar

All amazing shots, except the extremely high res of Alfred, WTF?

and yes Clarence, exactly what I’m wondering. Been wondering since the 2nd trailer.

    Chadwick,

The big and I mean huge difference between the early declarations for TDK compared to SM3. Is that Nolan has proven to be a consistently great director, no matter what the material.

Sam Raimi is a b-movie director who got lucky with a multi-million dollar franchise like Spider-Man. Seeing as how Nolan and his brother worked out great for “The Prestige”. I have a feeling TDK will be an ace in the hole in terms of one of the best Batman films made.

    @Chadwick

Even the trailers and stills from SM3 made people say “Holy shit are you kidding? That is going to blow!” Where I have heard nothing near that with TDK in my experience. I can remember when my expectations went in the can after that 7-minute clip aired during Heroes with the horrible CGI of Harry chasing Peter while riding on a snowboard with 2 120mm computer fans attached to it and wearing a paintball vest and paintball mask.

The big ANSWER is: Batman goes to Hong Kong to investigate the relation between Gotham’s mob with Chinese Tryad’s accountant named Lau (Chin Han) with the help and guidance of Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), as we can see on the 16th picture, just below the clear and bright pic of the Batpod.

    @ Clarence and Dan

Im pretty sure the hong kong shots are supposed to be the narrows, since that is what the narrows were inspired by.

    @ Peter

So judging by some of the pictures am I wrong to conclude that the 6 minute Dark Knight Prologue attached to the IMAX versions of I Am Legend will actually be included in The Dark Knight’s overall story or are they planning on showing the prologue before TDK?

    LAS CAGARON LAS FOTOS
    SALUDOS DE CHILE…

coming from a spider-man fan (mostly comics) i was extremely excited to see the birth of venom. As we all know, that was barely represented and poorly plotted. I understand how big the fans are for ‘the dark knight’ (i myself included) but its premature hype, i really hope they continue the plot of the long halloween, year one, and particularly, i hope they included batman: the cult into the plot (highly unlikely but a guy can dream) I do believe that is a major concern, how the raimi brothers worked together on the spidey 3 plot and now the nolan brothers worked on TDK… So, only time will tell… hopefully the current positive feedback for the film continues on july 18th :) PS: does anyone know if TDK will be released early? (i.e. iron man style, day before) sorta gotta book it off work :P

  16. Gravatar

PS: david goyer needed some inclusion on that script, however, ill settle for a ’story by’….

  17. Gravatar

The ones of the Joker are the best. Heath really nailed the role. Awesome pics!

  18. Gravatar

Heath Ledger looks absolutely psychotic. Makes me sad to know he’s gone.

  19. Gravatar

    CAN’T WAIT!!!
wish i had a time machine to jump to july 18 for couple hours and back!!!

  20. Gravatar

    Bottom picture is the best.

    Try and prove me wrong.

  21. Gravatar

actually…Any picture with Maggie Gyllenhaal is best.

  22. Gravatar

Ugh. This is going to suck wind.

  23. Gravatar

Does anybody know what kind of mics they’re using in that dinner scene shot?

  24. Gravatar

..only thing I’m sad about is the decision or whatever, not to use the original theme and music from the Tim Burton Batmanflicks…. so essential…

  25. Gravatar

…the backgroundmusic in those first flicks set the mood perfectly!

  26. Gravatar

Haven’t seen these yet.. Pretty sweet.. Hopefully we get a good amount of Two-Face.. At least more than expected..

Anywho.. I’m working on an adult swim-ish animated superhero with a similar tone to the Bat.. He has powers though but only when he drinks..

You can see a rough version of an episode here..

fugly Maggie bring back beautiful Katie…

  29. Gravatar

I don’t see anything wrong with Maggie’s looks. Katie isn’t exactly Helen of Troy anyway.
