I keep seeing the same ad where the girl claims shes not to young to train yet in Ep1 they say Anakin is to old to train. Someone didn’t research past movies to well.

I am extremely glad that I am around to see the days when new Jedi stories will be on the BIG and little screen. There are some other stories that I would love to see played out more but I am one of many fans that love anything Lucas puts out that I can see. These stories are BIGGER than Lucas and me…….these are our stories…….

Everytime I see one played out on the screen I remember back when I played out my own storylines in my room with all my action figures……

I actually spoke with Lucas about all this and he really has no interest in doing sequels and that fans would have to do with the books but then he said he was done with the series after “Jedi” before “Howard the Duck”. If he re-visits it will be a live action television series between the two trilogies and we talked about a perhaps trilogy set along after the deaths of Luke, Han, Leia and their children. When I talked to him he really didn’t want to talk much about it at all and I kind of felt dumb asking him. He’s not happy with all the books either.

i am a huge star war fan, i loved every movie including the prequels, (people hate entirely too much on those movies) i’m really excited to see this new one..

The problem with you people is that you expect the world, when all you’re going to get is “Star Wars.” The prequels were great films, and in alot of ways, they surpassed the originals. Alot of people diss it just because the new ones were different than the older ones.

Who are you guys to say that Lucas ruined his franchise? It’s his franchise! He modifies it the way he sees fit. Try making something that you guys love and have people telling you you screwed your own work up. Obviously, you make it the way you want it, just as Lucas made Star Wars the way he wanted it. If you’re not happy with it, then you expect the world. It infuriates me to see how ungrateful people are. These are just movies!!!! They are made for entertainment! Just sit back, enjoy life and stop complaining about everything. You just might be able to realize its a movie made for entertainment.

after the absolute betrayal that was indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull you’d think that someone would imprison george “money hungry” lucas from tampering with his once brilliant franchises to earn a quick buck. jabba the hutt’s son? mace windu’s brother from another mother? watto’s neice twice removed? what a totally unimaginative load of piffle. it’s just going to be another exercise in milking more money from a once great idea because HE CANNOT COME UP WITH ANYTHING NEW! at the expense of ruining all that we once held dear. (example: darth vader built c3p0??!! yoda knew chewbacca??!!! boba fett is australian??!!! and the list goes on…). i dread to think what nasty little surprises george “the cherished childhood memory killer” lucas has in store in the clone wars. what? mace windu had an affair with padme and she secretly gave birth to lando calrissian?

with such a large star wars universe at his disposal george “show me the money” lucas has refused to explore it in his narrow minded incompetence. ANOTHER BLOODY STAR WARS FILM ON TATTOOINE?! probably the most boring planet in the system. a freudian insight into lucas’ mind if ever there was one.

don’t even get me started on the potential merchandising that this film will create (probably the whole purpose behind it). i mean, you can buy figures for the star wars unleashed game months BEFORE it is even released. and why not make another 12 different clone trooper figures while you’re at it (i personally own over 20 different types, many with no differences but different color markings).

I might be the only one who is a big enough star wars fan, because i am really looking forward to this. And about the prequels, Episode 1 was good, Episode 2 was better and Episode 3 was awesome!! I really cant wait to watch this movie!

Stick to making console games! As per usual Lucas leaves me limp. I laugh everytime I think of him sitting back in his chair in the 80’s spouting off like, ” special effects without a story is a pretty boring thing”. Well you know what? Starwars is a pretty boring thing. Sure it was great to geek out on as a teen, but forever tarnished by Bam, Wiz, Bang & Pinochio’s seduction to the dark side. BTW, EP. 4 was on spike last night. How do you start there and go in that direction? TWO WORDS. Crass overmarketing.

awful trailer. The deepest root of desire and magical affection in my heart, however. 2 horrendous prequels, 1 that to me felt like a Star Wars film, but not a great one. Folks, Lucas isn’t leaving his bread winner behind. Give me/us/someone a chance to help him make 7-9, and Grand Admiral Thrawn, Mara Jade, or the New Jedi Order will give you pause to reconsider everything that has been spewed in such a negative fashion before, including by me. There are great stories worth telling in this Universe, but Lucas has lost his audience.

This story surrounds the most vilified elements of Lucas’ storytelling thus far; he’s setting himself up for failure, and if it doesn’t suck, which is very possible still, he’ll be able to say “See, I still got it, gobble gobble”. Personally, the Hutt idea is really good to me; that gang is responsible, in many ways, for some of the more defining moments in the Saga thus far, and is a GREAT offset for the negativity surrounding the other familiar characters. Jabba’s Dancers, Jabba’s Dancers. Going to Nal Hutta: that’ll be fucking cool if it happens, although not enough redemption for turning Kashyyk into Endor. Animated? Been there, at least there’s no green screen and making good actors look like has beens.

It doesn’t steal Tartakosvky’s Animation style, I will disagree on that wholeheartedly. Much richer and detail attentive compared to the TV series. Reminiscent, sure; it’s got the same name, so there’s some brand awareness. Much improved stylistically. Not saying I don’t dig the original but Samurai Jack blew the Clone Wars back to another kind of feudal bantha farm in my book.

I hope it’s ok. We still have 100 episodes of television pending to dread/fret/become more apathetic over. No more apologies

Love how they nail the wooden like nature of Anakin perfectly… it is Hayden Christensen but in an animated form.
