having just returned from opening night indiana jones and the OH SHIT SPIELBERG IS OBSESSIVELY ADDICTED TO ALIENS, INJECTING THEM INTO EVERY “STORY” OR “PLOT” LINE AND FUCKING UP HIS LEGACY LIKE LUCAS DID BY RAPING HIS ORIGINAL CONCEPTS AND ALIENATING HIS FANS, i can say “oh the irony.”

srsly, he gets married, finds out he has a greaser son who swings by vines through the rain forest so he can later on expertly fence with russian cate blanchet even though he dropped out of every prep school including fencing classes, and then hive mind crystal skeletoned aliens merge and open a portal to a new dimension, sucking up all the russians, killing cate blanchet, and destroying all evidence. two hours of special effects and bland plot movement, cheap explanations of what has happened in the last 20 years with NO FLASHBACKS and oh yeah, marcus brody and hank sr. are just dead. that’s it.

That was funny, I don’t like his style but he seems like he *could* be cool, at the very least he’s got a sense of humor about himself, which is more than I can say for 95% of big budget Hollywood directors.

I always have a frustrating opinion about Bay. Most of his movies are too stylized, too big, and too expensive…but he just seems like such a cool guy. Dammit, Bay! You can’t be a cool-douche! They don’t exist!

Ha. That’s pretty good. I like Bay, and most of his movies. I agree with orange cinema above, no matter what Bay does, even if it was the greatest movie ever made, you little kids are still gonna be on here bitching about it… while sitting at home, doing nothing… like you could do better. I’d like to see you try.

Has anyone else read the bad review on AICN. got that horrible “phantom menace” pit in my stomach starting to grow. Apparently the bad buzz is growing on this, which i find really odd, considering Spielberg’s talents, despite fluctuations, always deliver a watchable and enticing film, consistently over the past 10-15 years. Even his ‘flubs’ are fun to watch.
