I’m happy that they are diving into the stories of what happens in between the movies and such. Personally I hated most of the acting the in the prequels. Horrid acting, Anakin’s character was butchered. But thats just because I’m an actor my self. But I LOVED the prequels, because it provides a visual to what happens and gives me more story to take in and appreciate. I love all the Star Wars novels and video games and everything, because they give me more info on Characters in the movies. And there are HUGE gaps in between the movies, like in Episode III, wouldn’t you like to know the stories behind Anakin’s scar’s, and how Anakin and Obi-Won briefly mention things that happen in some of the situations they go through? Even in the original Trilogy, Empire Strikes Back, wouldn’t you like to know what happens with the bounty hunter on Ord Mantell that Han mentions? And even better, have a visual of what happens.

Basically, my point is, the art may be bad in your opinion, the acting could be horrid, blah blah blah. But despite all this, if you really are a fan, you would stop complaining about those things and appreciate the story they give us and the visuals to those stories. :)

I thought the Clone Wars were wrapped up nicely in the 2-D cartoon. I feel like thats what this is, really. The 2-D cartoon remade in CGI.
