just got done reading the story. i now see why its so appealing to girls. vampire is a nice piece of horror and romance pie, but this kind of story has been done too much and better. I'll still probably download it though

Every movie critic who reviews Twilight and gives a positive review needs to have an asterisk next to his/her byline that means:

*i admit it, i am a lowly servant to the suspect tastes of American teens and have succumb to corporate pressure.

Also, no movie critic with kids should be able to mention their damn kids in said review of Twlight.

after /film first twilight post, i started reading the series (up to half of new moon) out of curiosity and being clueless like all the regulars on /film.

i had the book in hand on the bus and a teenage girl commented that swewart is all wrong. what the hell does she know, kristen stewart is perfect if you ever seen her other films.

personally, im not sold on the director. so there for, im not sold on the teaser. im sure a better trailer will come out in time for comic con.

Personally, I think Catherine Hardwicke is a talented director, but this material has better aim than cupid with its intended audience. No harm in admitting you're not in the line of fire.

It looks like hot gabage and I know I forgot the R but it doesn't deserve to be dump in with the regular garbage.

I haven't read the book and don't plan on reading it so please don't hit me with "you have to read the book" nonsense, only way that'll happen if I'm stumped in the balls until there grounded into dust.

OMG. Terrible. Some emo kid mixed in with vampires and now hes got a crush on some girl? Why dont we all just go drink a bottle of Nyquill and go watch all the seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and then after that we can cut ourselves as we watch Charmed.

This movie, regardless of a fan base and where its roots are, sucks.

Ugh, I'm really hoping the movie will be redeemable. It goes back and forth for me. In the beginning, I figured it would suck. Then I saw the behind the scenes footage on MTV and it gave me some hope that it would be decent.
But this...this I don't know what to make of.
I'm praying that when it all comes together, the bad acting will be out shined and it won't look so cheesy. It is a film adaptation of a book, though, and I really shouldn't get my hopes up. They never seem to come out right.

I suppose, as long as it's better than Blood and Chocolate, I'll be the tiniest bit satisfied.

I love the Twilight series, and I was upset that they decided to make a movie. But the trailer is actually better than I thought it would be, considering this is MTV making it. MTV always tries to glamour up everything they get ahold of. They can never make anything realistic. And what do you expect when you've got Catherine Hardwicke directing. Her other movies are awful.

I really don't understand the hype behind this film.

I still don't understand about the vampires in daylight...it's part of the damn folklore...this is the dumbest looking vampire movie ever..it looks like jumper with pale kids...lol

In the books the vampires can't go out in the sun because when they change, their skin hardens, and so in the sun it kind of sparkles - like glass.

So that explains why they can go out during the day - they just do so when it's cloudy.

So when they're in the sun they become Italian?

Maybe Twilight is the movie that kickstarts GEEKS VS TEENS: GENRE MOVIE BLOODBATH OF THE CENTURY. I can only hope. ;)

The books are good. They entertain you for a while.

ps. This is not supposed to be a scary movie. It's a teen romance film. They just put suspense on the trailer.

(Read it and did not like it) I will agree with the people who say that this should be on the CW. But i am going to watch again to confirm it................ yep, that is CW material.

I can't get over that "shes not one of us" line.

I believe the reason that you like smashing Twilight into the ground is that you seem to be some sort of homophobic. the book was amazing, and nothing can change that. I hope the movie will be good, but you have to go into the theaters thinking and knowing that the movie is going to be diffrent then the book. If you think that you wont be dissapointed,

I'm thinking this teaser was made in haste, since filming just ended and the movie won't be out till December. I didn't really like the long romantic gazes, but then that's also what you would expect of Pattinson's character from reading the books. I wouldn't say the book is that well-written, just entertaining. So, they didn't have all that much to work with as far as good examples of dialogue and good characterization. I heard they used dialogue right out of the book, which is disappointing. A lot of the dialogue doesn't seem like it would translate from print to screen very well. With that being said, Pattinson is so hot!!!!!! Totally seeing the movie just to see him!!!!! lol
