It cost far more to make it from scratch. It took 7 month and in involved clay sculpting. several castings, remaiking parts as more photos of the costume was revealed. We made 4 helmets before we were satisfied, and 2 midsections, 2 back armor. and allot more retooled. Some of the detailed parts where machined to make it strong in its details. Particilury the circle shaped details and vents. We never had any blue prints. We started of by making the Civil War version then in the middle of the sculpt we changed he design and resculpted it to the movie version. This is the SAME Costume and it me wearing it. As you se this looks all different because i got the midsection armor correctly on.
