If you still haven’t seen The Duplass Brothers‘ The Puffy Chair, you should netflix it now because it’s everything that is right with real independent filmmaking. And no, I’m not talking about multi-million dollay mini major movie studio funded independent filmmaking. I’m talking about a bunch of talented people who just go out and are able to make something out of nothing.

Jay and Mark Duplass returned to Sudnance this year with Baghead, a film about four actor friends who go off on a weekend trip to a cabin in the woods with plans of shooting a super low-budget independent film. But then a freaky guy with a bag on his head shows up…  It’s part horror, part comedy, part lampoon of the mumblecore sub-genre which the Duplass Brothers helped bring into popularity.
