A bunch of new photos popped up on the web today. Official Pix has started selling photos from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for $5.99. Here are a few of the new photos they are selling (beware: potential spoilers if you’re smart enough to connect the dots):

Cinematical has new photos from The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

How does he lose thirty years just by putting that fedora on?

Why did they even bother trying to stop us from seeing the skull if they were gonna show us before it came out anyway?

Two things. Is the crystal skull a xenomorph? Don’t know if want
And Michelle Yeoh in the Mummy? FUCK YES!

I thought the Crystal Skull was a metaphor for crystal meth. Didn’t think it would be an “actual” crystal skull.
Consider me dissapointed.

I dunno.. Before, I was NOT looking forward to the third Mummy. But as I think, I can do with a decent popcorn movie now and again.

Ah ok, now I see, so it is about Aliens in Indy 4. I mean, the 1950’s thing is the test site for nuclear weapons in Nevada or wharever and I am guessing the military from US is them trying to show us it has somethign to do with Area 51. Pretty cool. So, that is why I am assuming it really does have something to with aliens. Wouldnt be surprised that if that light behind him was near the end of the movie, does Indy get taken by aliens? Would be kind of cool if he does…. Anthony

That “crystal skull” looks photoshopped in to me. I could be wrong tho, but if you look at it, they either had to add some effects in post on it, or it’s photoshopped in. The lighting is way off on it.

The “1950s-era statues” are clearly a Nevada-desert nuclear test-site. The Army would build ‘replicas of small towns’ within different ranges from ground-zeros on nuke test-sites in order to gauge what sort of damage the blast would do at different distances from impact.
The implication being, for the film, that (at least one of these) test-sites were/was really a cover-story for other conspiratorial government operations involving alien/UFOs/Crystal Skulls. Indy is looking for information at the site and the army swoops in to remove him. (Its actually a nice homage/callback to the army doing a similar operation at Devil’s Tower in CE3K, which is something Spielberg enjoys doing (a la the callbacks of Lucille Benson and the elderly couple from “Duel”, called back in “1941″ and “CE3K”, respectively.

Those Indiana Jones pictures, the ones with the skulls, look uber fake.

I’m really looking forward to this more and more (Indy). I’m still not keen on Shia - he’s no Short Round!
Anyone know if this takes place in the early or late 50’s?
The geek in me wouldn’t mind a nod to Close Encounters, but that’s just me.

Eh…I just checked the link above to Official Pix, and most of the photos above (the ones with the skulls, the ‘family house’, etc.) are either no longer there, or never were to begin with. I’m guessing shenanigans, ie they’re fake.

How did he loose 30 years just by putting on the fedora? Actually, prior to filming Indy 4 Ford got a chin lift. I agree he does look younger.
