Teresa PalmerTeresa Palmer first entered our radar when she was rumored to be cast as Wonder Woman. It was later revealed that Palmer was actually cast as Batman baddie Talia al Ghu in the now defunct Justice League movie.

But now that the Australian actresses’ schedule is clear, the Courier Mail is reporting that Palmer has been cast in Michael Bay’s Transformers 2. Palmer recently starred opposite Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories. Bay also cast another Aussie, Rachael Taylor, in the original film. Earlier today it was reported that Jonah Hill is in early negotiations to costar opposite Shia LaBeouf in the sequel.

my only worry for part 2 is that the comedy will be overdone. this happens often in movie sequels and tv series.

two examples off the top of my head are ace ventura and joey from friends - sorry its all i could think of right now. both characters in their origins, had a sense of ‘being grounded’ about them. but in their latter years/sequels they evolved drastically into complete buffoonery. i really worry that bay & co., could go this route, and push the comedy further than necessary. i loved the first film, and will be there opening night for the second, i really just hope its done with some dignity. (yes, there can be dignity in a movie about giant fighting alien robots…)
