LOOKS GOOD!

This is going to blow. I can feel it through those CG-riffic pictures.

Meh.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

The Hulk himself looks awful. Too small, not green enough. Totally unimpressive.
April 30th, 2008 at 3:16 am
Looking pretty good. I might have to change my opinion on this thing. Sweet.

I hate to say this because I hope this movie turns out good but the FX looks really bad. The Hulk and Abomination look, dare I say, awful. Hopefully when in action it looks much better.

I’m sharing beers with AJ and Captain Awesome instead of going to see this.
And that decision is based entirely on the dreadful, half-assed looking CG.
April 30th, 2008 at 8:44 am
shit we need a spawn movie not this BS
April 30th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Captain Awesome hit it on the head. That Hulk photo just looks so horrible. I’m sure there will be some entertaining areas of the film. But, the cg hulk alone is going to keep me from the theater. Netflix perhaps?
April 30th, 2008 at 9:13 am
whats up with all this hate. Is there some kind of hulk agenda going on?
Seriously fuck you all internet movie geeks.
Your obsession for CGI is ridicolous.
April 30th, 2008 at 9:27 am
@Jojo are you sure you don’t mean our “expectation” for CGI? Sorry, but take this posted pick and put it up against Spiderman, X-Men, Iron Man, Dark Knight, even SW Prequels and Superman Returns. It’s garbage compared to those. I for one am not going to pour out my hard earned money to go see something that looks this bad.
If the Hulk is going to look that way, then make the whole movie stylized like that. Give it a comic book feel to the visuals. From what I’ve seen, it’s Norton doing his regular action bit (yes, I do think he is pretty much one dimensional), then boom you have this terrible CGI Hulk action. Not enough to redeem the name or gain enough interest from me (or most of those posters above) to see this movie.
Call us haters. Bottom line, we are not going to pay good money to see crap effects from a big budget movie.
April 30th, 2008 at 9:36 am
wow, hulk & abomination are looking pretty…silly. dammit! for some reason, the hulk seems to be a very difficult character to capture. as much as i’d follow ed norton into any theater, this film joins the ranks of ‘i want this to be good, though i know it probably won’t be’…

@Quenfis
Hard earned money?!? Seriously?! Come on it’s $8-10 fucking dollars. Like there’s a slew of movies out that you just have to see aside from the top ones like, Iron Man, DK, Indy 4, and whatever else. Even some minimum wage kid can afford to see all those and more instead of sitting on their PC wasting time when they could prolly be out there earning some more hard earned money to spend on I dunno whatever it is all that money goes to.
I was a fan of the original Hulk as an overall film, and I’ll see this regardless cause I think it looks decent enough. It doesn’t look horrible, but hey it’s my money right, and I got nothing else to do, and it’s a comic book movie. So I’m there regardless. Shit I’d go see Howard the Duck again if they reshowed it.

@ Ghost & JoJo
Did you get Congressional approval to start this flame war?
Ah, nevermind. Not like it matters.
Anyway, a little perspective would do wonders for your commenting skills!
Just a tip!
April 30th, 2008 at 11:31 am
He works hard for the money, so hard honey honey! Yes, I would say that $8-$10 would be better spent elsewhere. I don’t drop my money on any shitfest that comes to my town. I’m selective. Oh, and I have kids so…yeah I’m broke.
Speaking of Flame, the CGI in The Fantastic Four looked better in pre/post than the Hulk. We can be a bit of nay-sayers here. But, I think someone like Captain Awesome usually calls em’ like he see’s em’ and is pretty much hitting it on the head most of the time. So, go see Howard the Duck Redux and enjoy that. The rest of us will refrain from losing our time and $ on mind numbing cinema.

Jojo-
Shitty CG takes you out of the film, very quickly. So it matters.
April 30th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
@dan
Not as quick as shitty storyline. CG is forgivable when you haven’t the everyday task of doing it.
April 30th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Steelo,
Then you haven’t seen a sci-fi channel monster movie.
