Jonah Hill in Transformers 2?

Jonah Hill is in early negotiations to costar opposite Shia LaBeouf in Transformers 2 according to EW. Hill would likely play the role of Sam’s college roommate Chuck.

[CHUCK] 19-25 yrs., Sam’s roommate at Princeton. He runs a conspiracy theory website. Funny in an irreverent, edgy way, he is shocked to see his conspiracy theories come to life. (2nd Lead)

But of course, Michael Bay claims the casting breakdown which leaked to the web earlier this month was actually misinformation. Yeah, right… I actually think Hill would make a perfect addition as Sam’s conspiracy theory obsessed friend.

    If the last film was a teen love movie with robots in it, then what will this be? A college comedy with robots in it?

    This is a horrible idea. Please don't put this fat bastard in the movie. Transformers is not about comedy, it's about action. Less human time, more Transformer time!
  • I don't have an opinion either way about it, but I can see why he would want to be casted and why the studio would want to cast him.

    He has a built in fan-base being the poster-face for the new genre of raunchy slacker teen comedys that have sprung up. I know the first time I saw him was in "Grandma's Boy" and I thought he was hilarious. He's perfect to lend 'cool' and 'non-geek' credit to the Transformers franchise in my opinion.

    He's good, but there's no way he could believably out run any of the transformers, I couldn't even believe it when Shia Le(Poof) did it in the first one.

    Anyone else getting tired of this kid? If it wasn't for Rogen (another guy I'm getting tired of seeing) he wouldn't be anywhere. I think he actually made Walk Hard even worse.
