At the latest Dark Knight viral events, one winner was chosen from the audience to take home a 35mm print of The Dark Knight movie trailer. As it turns out, this 35mm print is actually defaced by The Joker himself. One of the winners put the Jokerfied trailer online. Check it out after the jump.

Hey, if Warner Bros. Isn’t taking it down, then I’m all there.
But what significance does ruining a trailer have?
April 30th, 2008 at 3:28 am
haha, that’s awesome.

Loved the “boring part” messages on the other scenes. Brilliant marketing campaign.

ahaah this is awesome!! the best part was “I’M LAME” as Batman rides on the pod. And goddamn dude, sorry to sound like a bitch but every time I see the Joker, it’s so awful remembering Ledger’s death.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:35 am
The YouTube quality makes it even better (?)
Sort of, maybe. It was cool though, definitely.

I’m so jealous.

Joker with a fucking lightsaber at 1:35! Amazing!
April 30th, 2008 at 5:39 am
The Joker with lightsaber is awesome and Batman pooping on everybody at 2:01 is hilarious.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:53 am
…beautiful

The part where Joker whips out a lightsaber made me laugh, hahaha.

There is an “o” scribbled over the “a” in dark at the end…. The Dork Knight…. that is awesome/hilarious…. this movie is going to rock
April 30th, 2008 at 8:10 am
Considering there is at least one scene where the scribbles are identical from one shot of a character to the next (alfred 1:00 and 1:07), perhaps the whole film is being done this way for purposes of a DVD extra.
The Dork Knight. heh.

That was fun to watch.

I miss Heath already. Damn, he is going to an awesome Joker. And the lightsaber… the joker is a sci-fi dork, apparently.
April 30th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
i dont know about you guys, but to me this says something about Heath’s state of mind before his death. after seeing that, all i can think is that Heath became the Joker after finishing the film and maybe couldnt snap out of it
April 30th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
This guys are geniuses. I hope they get a huge salary rise.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
senoreljefe: I doubt that heath ledger himself actually did this. Must have taken days- 2:30 seconds, that’s 3600 frames- each 35mm wide.
April 30th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Evan, I don’t think senoreljefe meant Heath did this himself. I think he just meant that the joker is a pretty messed up character and Heath probably got really into the role.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
“this says something about Heath’s state of mind before his death”
- not to split hairs, but I’m pretty sure senoreljefe did mean it to be taken that ledger did this, otherwise how could it be a reflection of broke-dick’s stat of mind? It’s obvious this was done by professionals not on lithium and sleeping pills.
I love Batman, and I love that they’re finally doing to the films with the respect they deserve. But seriously, if Mr. Heath hadn’t killed himself, the movie would be more along the lines of the release of another Tool album, instead of an over-hyped morbidly commercialized postmortem release of Kurt Cobain’s favorite lullabies or something (you get th6e idea).
Woo-hoo Batman is going to be awesome, it sucks Heath died but its not like it happened overnight and it isn’t like it’s the first time something like this has happened. Perhaps the problem wasn’t that the “character was too intense for him to play” but that he had serious problems with heroin, a failing marriage and a life in shambles. Our culture takes everything for face value, it’s lazy and repulsive.

I take it that the Joker knows of Batman’s real identity considering he drew bat ears over Bruce’s head.

Incredible. The Cloverfield marketing wishes it was this cool.
