Remember last month when it was announced at ShoWest that Iron Man would be released early to coincide with the international release on April 30th? Remember when Paramount quickly shot back that the domestic release date had not changed, and would remain on May 2nd? A lot of fans in the States were angry that International markets were going to see the red and yellow suit in action two days earlier. Someone at Paramount apparently heard their cries because Iron Man will be coming to theaters sooner than expected after-all, but not that much sooner.
Select theaters will begin showing the film at 8:00pm on May 1st 2008. So those of you die hard fans can now see the movie a day earlier (or a few hours earlier for those of you midnight screening nuts out there). Remember to check your local theater listings.

Here in Peru we’ll be watching Iron Man on Tuesday 29th!! Why? Because the official premiere day is Wednesday 30th, so the midnight showing will be Tuesday!! Yeeeehh…I will definitely go see it on tuesday (technically it’s Tuesday/Wedesday, but still is something).
We have giant billboards promoting this event, i’ll try and get some pictures

“Paramount apparently heard their cries”
Like it’s some kind of human rights issue or something.
I haven’t heard such whiny geeks since Australia got Star Trek: First Contact two days before the states.
