When I met actor turned screenwriter Dan Callahan at a Los Angeles party, he described his upcoming film College as Superbad but less smart and more vulgar, a call back to the raunchy teen comedies from my youth (Porky’s…etc). The official movie trailer has finally been revealed, and can be watched below.
And yes, my first impression is that the movie looks okay but it doesn’t look great. But I’m operating under the vulgar R-Rated comedy theory where all the really funny stuff can’t been shown in a green band movie trailer. I really hope that MGM releases an Red Band movie trailer online so that we can really see what this movie is like. Watch the trailer below, and tell me what you think in the comments.

Not really sure, I loved Waiting…
From the trailer it looks like it’s made up of the usual ingredients of the “pre-fresh”/college movies. I am waiting for a PCU type movie to come out, where people can be mean but not an a$$.
I’ll still see it most likely. Assuming there is much more comedy to it than what is shown in the trailer.

Let me be the first to say, this movie is going to blow. This looks like a wannabe Superbad. Its got the skinny awkward kid, the fat vulgar kid, and the nerdy virgin. Instead of High school they go to college. Whoooope! Drake bell is in it, remember him? Didnt think so. So I think that this movie is going to blow, but i guess I can wait and hopefully a red band trailer can be released.

I don’t mind the brainless comedy here and there because
sometimes they offer a little entertainment, but this looks
lame. I didn’t laugh at all. This movie looks worse than
Accepted; which at least had a few laughs.
I’m sure this will be another flick my husband makes me
watch. LoL

WTF …. they could make this movie soooo much better, iam usually down for these kind of comedy but that trailer didnt give me anything to look forward too.. iam gonna be busy this summer seeing movies worth seeing ..my guess is the movie will get lost amongst the rest, which is a shame ..it totally lacks star power

Sooooo, Hunter’s on vacation? Cause’, this is definitely one of those trailers you would see Hunter put up and smack around with some of that smart-assery.
This movie is pretty sad. Drake Bell needs to stick with Nickelodeon, and teaching tards how to play guitar.

THIS LOOKS AWESOME!!! This movie tested through the roof over Super Bad, and a little tip- College was filmed BEFORE Super Bad released so it’s hardly a rip off. C’mon guys, coming-of-age movies are not re-inventing the wheel… they all have similar story lines -hot girls and horny teen boys sorta just go together! Even better, College has hot horny girls and hunky Nick Zano- this movie is going to be a hit!!! I am so there!!!

This movie SHOULD distance itself from Super Bad because Super Bad sucked- there was nothing “smart” about it. Frankly it sounds totally BOGUS to even claim a writer would compare his movie as “less smart” than another movie anyway!!! It would never happen! This movie looks great… I am going to College!
