Michael Bay Says Everything You Know About Transformers 2 is FALSE

You’ve read about the casting breakdowns, constructicon rumors, and supposed treatment leaks, Transformers 2 director Michael Bay claims it was all fake.

“Sorry everyone, everything you are reading (other then we are shooting in Philly) is false,” Bay wrote on his website Shoot For the Edit. “We are going to give so much disinformation on this film to confuse everyone.”

Okay, so let me get this strait… Bay and company orchestrated this complex plan to release false information to the internet movie websites, and when everyone actually chomped down on the bait, he jumps out from around the corner and reveals it was all a scam to keep you out of the know? I’m not saying this information isn’t misinformation, but why set this stuff up if you’re going to publicly deny it minutes later? Isn’t the whole point to keep fans confused? Or maybe Michael Bay’s denial is misinformation? Wait, I’m confused.

  • I've heard that everything I've heard about Michael Bay isn't actually true, but that's only a rumor.

    In the end, does it really matter? The movie will have giant robots in it and that's all the kids care about.

    I'm positive Bay came out and said before that he was going to confuse people with misinformation forever ago. Like, before the writer's strike even ended. You'd think more people would remember this, especially the people that actually bring us these news items, namely, Peter and the other Slashfilm staff. This is no surprise.

    why is it shameful for grown men to see a movie based on toys that we grew up with - or rather, just a really fun movie? especially when it was the perfect summer extravaganza. i'm ready for a rude & insulting response, but if you could, please try to give a solid and relevant reason.

    all the info or mis-info just makes the experience stretch out past the 2 hours in the theater. it's fun to play detective and puzzle together all the clues we each contribute to these boards. transformers is what it is, and i'll wait in line for 2, 3, 20 more as long as they stay good. love bay, love transformers, love optimus prime!

    Giant robots fighting other giant robots = Transformers. Do we need to know anything else? In a movie like this, plot is pretty secondary. As long as it makes enough sense to not make my head hurt I'll be happy.

    Bay said exactly the same about all the leaks from BayFormers 1, which all eventually turned out to be 98% accurate. He trully is both the smuggest and dumbest assh0le on planet Earth.

    Michael Bay sounds like a dick of a person.

    Think about it.....why would he put his writers through all of that and have them write whole extra scripts for a movie? I've heard this crap about the first movie and now i'm hearing it about this one.

    The solution? Just wait for the actual movie to come out and then wish there was a way to e-mail him and say, "OH MAN! YOU REALLY GOT ME MIKE!" As a director he's good.....as an all-around person he seems like a bit of a prick.

My kids loves the movie..We love everything in the movie.Part 1 N part 2 was good!!!:-) Michael Bay is there going 2 be another "TRANSFORMERS" next summer 2010? My son wants 2 know. He knows Megatron is alive N he keeps saying he can't wait 2 see another "TRANSFORMERS" next summer!!! I don't care what other people say about the movie or their comment about you. Just keep working with ur movies N don't think what other people say!!!!!:-)
