You mean post - Alien Resurrection? Well, the Ripley/Alien hybrid is a bit tired, though, and may I assume Sigourney's tired of playing herself that way too? Which leaves the question, would it be (could it be) a pre-quel, then? Or might it be another, more improved, more human version of herself (in clone), post - Resurrection? It may beat the clone bit to death, but it would be worth seeing another REAL Alien movie. I'm still hurting over the AVP fracas. My only demand? Ridley Scott has to direct. No more of those wet-behind-the-ears kids, with their pre-ejac approach to sci-fi/horror and total lack of script writing or character development. When someone dies, I'd like to actually care. Please.

and sigourney weaver to you i wanna say you are still a hottie for you age i am 24 and i would pay money to see you in this movie regardless of the age so if fox is discriminating they deserve no more chances with us fans and should rightfully hand over the rights to a company that will allow this project to go through…..i know cameron and scott you read crap like this i kno i would for ideas best place is from the fans not corporate junkies so go ahead take my ideas i dont care i just wanna see this movie made with you 3 god bless ya and i know avatar will be an amazing movie :)

I love the intelligence factor of the creatures i believe they should be even smarter than all movies have preceeded them to be even tho they look like giant bugs make them in some cases smarter than humans. Back to the wormhole once they use it ha loath and behold the only ship that makes it through is the one ripleys aboard which has the best weapons aboard thank god and the most hardened and battle expereinced space marines in the universe onboard with her (makes a bad ass cast recruiting process for casting). This one ship now has all of mankinds hope in going on the homeworld fighting off millions of aliens new bigger more badass ones lots of queens and the epic battle with the hive mother and yes ripley should have her bad ass alien skills along with her shell need em…..

now as far as the big dude in the chair of the alien ship that could be a more perfected and evolved version of the one we saw at the end of aliens 4 who has the capability of flying an organic ship which would be organical connected to the creature…..so the ship takes form for any condition space has to offer and uses space wind to travel but takes decades and is unreliable in many ways hence its crashing. so here we have the human race making its first contact with an alien race. This alien race bent on the desctruction of our homeworld by any means necessary and are each moment getting closer to that goal.

Space is big and scary and why not just have it a comsological event where these creatures out of darwins own theory were the best survivalist in the known universe. They dont see us as food or a way of reproducing but a threat to thier very existence and no they arent going to make a truce with the human race how could they…subplot the war between aliens and the company has been going on for hundreds of years before the premise of alien….through the scandalous ways of the company they always knew but were still testing human strengths against the creature to prepare for what they feared was an inevitable epic battle for our solar system once the alien race found ways of space travel hence the ship in both the first two movies…

hmm timeline wise best to have it between 3 and 4 where the company at its end of days does a desperate and experimental act of cloning ripley. Introduce a new character a genius in biogenetics who helps clone ripley in the process noticing the alien dna mixing with riplies discovers her physcological connection to the aliens homeworld thus giving the company a chance to wipe them out for good and save themselves from total annhilation by the alien race. Forget about the species being engineered.

I loved all four Alien movies, although Alien 3 was my least favourite (The whole 'religious inmates set up for the slaughter' thing just didn't interest me much). Resurrection was a much better flick; call me short-sighted, but I hold it in the same regard as the first two. Anyway, an Alien 5–directed by Ridely Scott to boot– would've been great. Weaver looks pretty good after all this time, and I think she could've pulled it off. I didn't hate the first AVP, even though a lot of it made no sense, but I'm positive it doesn't hold a candle to what Ridely, and Weaver could've created. Dammit…

I sure as hell hope they do like come on alien was one of the best ever sci fi movies made.
the actors dont mater to me when it comes to the alien sereies as long as it’s still got those edge of the seat scenes action/sci fi horror.
If there is an alien 5 those realy keen people into alien (like moi) will have to buy the next collectors edition or box sets so that would be the only problem you think u got them all and the next one comes out thats life for you.

But yet again if your as keen as i the you wont mind spending another $156 for it.

C’mon, guys and girls. I ask you to take another look at Cameron’s ‘Aliens’. Everyone who considers themselves of discerning taste or a true fan or both says that 3 and 4 are OK (if not completely forgettable), that the first two are wonderful. I must disagree entirely. Alien is a masterpiece, end of story. Aliens is an enjoyable kiddie version of Alien. A real cornball of adolescent fun. Alien Lite, if you will. A testament to James Cameron’s perception of the movie-going public which culminated in the mother of them all…Titanic. “Let them eat cake!” The problem is that Cameron’s story ripped the guts out of Alien when he and Giler and Hill decided to neuter the Alien. It ceases to be scary when the monster is no longer an analogy for man’s savage nature, but instead an over-sized roach. And what is more frightening after all, a roach or your deepest, darkest self? Take a good look before you answer. With that established, it seems it wouldn’t matter if Fincher had been given ample time or any other director because the premise was trashed in Cameron’s crowd-pleaser.

I still remember the first time I saw aliens when I was a kid. There were so many badass and scarry scenes. The motion detector with the ping, the crazy looking tank and plane, and that yellow forklift. To make the Alien spin interesting again just go to the home planet and make it visually exciting. For Predator all you have to do is give hime some new and interesting weapons. The shoulder gun in part one and the disc in part two are still classic. I only have one thing to say if they come up with another AVP project.

I agree with the idea that an AvP movie could be awesome, but that they have been done by horrible directors/writers. If they do a third one, they need to have someone with great ideas come in and do it. I’d love to write the idea I have for AvP3. I think it would really satisfy the fanbase……and yes, apparently on the commentary for Alien, Ridley Scott said he wanted to do an Aliens 5 because he wanted to go back to the alien homeworld and I think explore the fact that these Aliens were actually manufactured as biological weapons.

Short of throwing out and forgetting all of the movies that happened after Aliens, where exactly could this possible go? I do think that if anyone could do it, Ridley Scott could but the Alien series is dead! The complete and total mess that was Aliens vs. Predator put the final nail in that coffin.
