What If There Were No Birds in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds? Martijn Hendricks has been removing the birds from every frame of the Hitchcock masterpiece as part of an art project called Give Us Today Our Daily Terror. Check out these video samples: Boat, Party, School or the still frames below.

    no forums please!!! They clutter things up, NEVER stay on topic & ALWAYS start fights. However, if pete wants one ill completely support it, & there is the hope that /film's readers wouldnt let the forum go to shit. Then again, we all saw that one cloverfield comments page get pretty ugly.

    Well...These comment sections really aren't much different than a forum. There is still a--holes on here trying to start fights.
    As for forums being off topic...That's what moderators are for. Even these comment sections get off topic - like now.

    I really don't know why you are so against creating a /film community...But that's ok...I doubt they would open up a forum anyway.

    Hi. We didn't remove the birds from The Birds. This is an art project by someone unrelated to /Film, we've simply reported on it because it's cool. Slashfilm is a movie news site. Have a look around and let us know if you have any questions/comments.

  • Looking at the stills, it seems the artist hasn't done a great job of bird removal. The original clouds are all gone in both examples. Great idea, but if I was going to mess with the Master of Suspense's work, I'd be sure to do a much metter job!
