A new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie poster has popped up over at Collider, but is it real? Nope (to be fair Collider siad it could be possibly fan made). Just a cool fan created throwback to the popular Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade poster done by Drew Struzan.
The design looks almost identical to the Last Crusade artwork by Struzan, even down to the specks on the right edge.
When we originally posted this story, I was very skeptical of the movie poster’s authenticity. Thinking it was cool enough to post even if it was a fan creation, I put the question out to the /Film readers: Is the poster Real or Fake? And we got our answer… As it turns out, the Harrison Ford photo comes from the cover of the new Empire Magazine.

I think it’s fake too. The extreme similarity of the outlines aside. They already have the beautiful Drew Struzan Crystal Skull poster, why would they release a new poster that really doesn’t look as good? I think Lucas and Speilberg are beyond needing a bad photoshop poster to promote their movie.

I believe it’s a fake. I guess it is being done by whoever, are meant for comparison. You know, the now & then Indiana Jones. I will be shock if it’s indeed an official poster!

well the photo sans poster effect was the cover of empire and they don’t usually use poster art for their covers…this is the work of a fan

That poster is a joke and defiintely a photoshop crap job trying to look like Struzan. The artist can’t draw so they use photoshop to manipluate photos. What a fraud.
