USA Today has released another new photo from the Will Smith superhero comedy Hancock. The photo above shows Hancock doing “as much damage as good”. In the article they talk about how they tried to create a real looking world that feels real. Here is a brief excerpt.
“Part of getting real: using a harness and wires, not a green screen, to make Smith’s superhero fly. The actor was suspended 200 feet above the ground and propelled at 50 mph, and he’s more than fine with it.”
I’m always for more practical effects over digital, but I’m really skeptical as to how this might actually look. I mean, it sounds interesting enough. And the result can’t be worse than the title of the movie, right?

You know what? I made up my mind. Aside from some maybe hearing something super interesting, this movie 100% off my radar list. I could really care less. Might as well name it My Super Ex-Boyfriend and keep it moving. Seriously.
Let the real super hero movies do the work this year. We could seriously do without another one.

Holy shit. I’d never want to be 200 feet in the air only held by a harness going 50 mph. I’d lose my shit at 50 feet

i’ll probably see it. it can’t be I, Robot bad, plus Jason Bateman is in it.

What’s wrong with the name? Most superhero movies are just the name of the character maybe followed by a subtitle, Iron Man, Spider Man, The Incredible Hulk, Superman, Batman, i could go on forever.

I really liked the trailers for this and I’ll definetly be checking it out. It looks hilarious and it’s what a good comedic superhero movie should. especially now that we have all these parody movies out.
Albeit this isn’t really an outright parody but it’s sort of close.
