Yes Tiziano Sclavi (the author) asked to Claudio Villa (graphic) to get inspiration for Dylan Dog' look from Rupert Everett.
Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man) is based on a previous Tiziano Sclavi's novel entitled 'Dellamorte Dellamore', in which the main character is Francesco Dellamorte.
So Francesco Dellamorte could be considered the first Dylan Dog's prototype but not really Dylan Dog, Dellamorte is very different from Dylan Dog, anyway after the success of Dylan Dog the novel 'Dellamorte Dellamore' was reprinted again and Francesco Dellamorte was designed very similar to Dylan Dog's character on novel's covers to help selling the book.

I like very much Dylan Dog ;),
Best Regards,
Marco Michele

Weird that Cemetary man had anything to do with Dylan Dog?

But what I really care about is what does this mean for Gatchaman? If anything...

I'm with Thats in his description of Brandon Routh, he did a remarkable job as Clark/Supes, though I was left disappointed, not by his performence but rather the story and the over-abundance of CGI. I would like to see him break out and star in different roles rather than be type-casted ala Dean Cain and be struck down by the Superman curse.

I'm all for giving the unknown comics a chance to strike it big and be noticed. This is a perfect role for both movie and actor to shine.

Routh isn't given enough credit. His Clark/Supes was wel done with the material he had to work with. An impressive follow up to Reeve and I'll definitely be looking forward to that sequel. As for Dylan Dog? If they can make it as cool as that Mike Mignola drawing^^ go for it.

*CLARENCE* That cover was done by Mignola.
Rupert Everett is Dylan Dog. No one else. There is no reason why he shouldn't be in it. Dylan Dog was based on Rupert.
