/Film reader Nate P stumbled upon this photo on Kanye West’s blog, who was apparently at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Looks like a design for Spike Jonze’s adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. I wonder what is going on what that production? Anyone have any new word? E-Mail me.

I agree with Robert “Kanye West”, but looking at the page that the person taking the photo that they was shown around and they were snapping photos and luckily enough to snap that picture.
The latest that i have heard about this project is that they haven’t made a decision about re-filming it or doing the CGI and the voice work again

man-o-man this is gonna be a movie we remember/treasure forever - if it gets the spike jonze release. that thing looks like it literally crawled off the pages of the book. i’ll take a Henson creature over cg ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

I’m still not sure about this movie. I have alot of faith in Spike Jonze, and this book was my favorite book as a kid so I’d love to see it succeed but if recent troubles are any indication, we may be looking at something much different than we expected.

This looks amazing, it really does. I can’t wait to see this film. I just hope it’s as good as we all want it to be, and I honestly don’t think it will be, and I love Jonze’s work. I only say this because we are all wanting it so bad, this movie is probably one of my most hyped up movies ever. I really just can’t wait.
I like seeing the concept art on the back wall as well!

The Creature Shop is rumoured to be working on Kanye West’s next live tour, so his blog post is probably connected to that. Interestingly, the photo of the “Wild Things” model has been taken down from his blog.

That’d be because the creatures are still top secret I’d imagine, surprised a C n’ D hasn’t already caused it’s removal here as well
