Um, money grab! BTW Peeto, I finally saw Juno, and have now thus seen many of 2007's supposedly "great films" (except for There Will Be Blood and Gone Baby Gone): Juno, Into The Wild, Sweeney Todd, American Gangster, In The Valley Of Elah, Michael Clayton, Atonement, No Country For Old Men, The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, The Diving Bell And The Butterfly, La Vie En Rose, The Counterfeiters, Eastern Promises, We Own The Night, Charlie Wilson's War, The Kite Runner,.... And Juno is second-worst to Michael Clayton in my eyes. There was nothing special about this movie, nor its stupid screenplay (seriously, Oscar?) and god the soundtrack was annoying! My Top 3 for 2007 is 1 - TAOJJBTCRF, 2 - The Diving Bell And The Butterfly, 3 -Atonement....sorry.

"Didn’t Hackers develop enough of a cult following that they made a second soundtrack for it?"

There's a total of three soundtracks. Sadly, I own them all...

A number of movies have spawned second soundtracks like Trainspotting, the Wedding Singer, Boogie Nights, and "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet," ...... but the thing about those soundtracks is I believe that they all contained music from the movies that hadn't made the original soundtrack because the movies all had a ton of music and they had to make certain decisions about what to fit on, etc. That I can understand.

This, on the other hand, is silly.

You know, as much as it is a bit of a money grab, it also works on some level.

I was really big on the Garden State soundtrack. I loved Colin Hay and Loved The Shins so I loved the rest of the soundtrack as well. If they came out with a second soundtrack, as much as it would be like Zach Braff's celebrity playlist, I would probably discover a few more great bands because of it.

This film business is all about making money, people, and this indie outing is milking it for all its worth. Tell me you wouldn't. All the best to 'em, I say and good on 'em, too! But I won't be buying this...

And people think that DVD re-releases are bad. At least they contain the original material. This is outright ridiculous - I'm suprised Slashfilm even shows any support for it.

This is silly. If it's not in the movie, it might as well be Jason Reitman's Celebrity Playlist on iTunes. Kind of still a money grab.
