while its my most looked forwawd to movie in about 3 years and the series is a favorite of mine... has anyone seen the trailers for the original Indiana Jones? They were quite horribly put together in my opinion and made all of the movies look horrible. I honestly probably wouldn't of seen Raiders of the Lost Ark based on the trailer itself.

Butch Newton:

Do you even know what a hack is?! Spielberg is no hack, pal.
I'll educate you: If the credits were cut off a Spielberg movie, you can still TELL and feel and KNOW that you're watching a Spielberg movie. No hack can claim that. For instance, cut the credits off Night at the Museum and you can't tell who directed that. It could've been directed by any number of the vanilla directors working today. But a Spielberg film always FEELS and LOOKS and SOUNDS like a Spielberg film. That is signature director, my friend, but in no way a hack.

I still liked the original trailer more; had more of an old-school feel to it. I think the only reason its getting so much flack is because people have forgotten about the spirit of Indiana Jones. Those movies are supposed to feel like Saturday morning serial adventures, and they pull that off better than any other fun adventure movie I can think of. Can't wait for this one.

I'm not sure Iron Man deserved to be mentioned in the same league as Indy and Dark Knight. It looks good, but only because of Robert Downey Jr.

That "clunky" teaser trailer was superb and acclaimed. Much better than this TV spot, which is still pretty good. Frankly, I loved that scene where Indy fell into the window with those two goons. I thought it was classic Indy comedy in the best way.

I look forward to the Dark Knight, but it doesn't give me goosebumps like Indy does. As for Iron Man, there was nothing special in that trailer for me. I'll probably wait for cable for that one.

I'm sceptical about the movie itself, but I'm sure it'll make a ton of money, and it won't have to fear any of its contestants on May 22nd.

I liked the old one...Had a better feel to it in my opinion. Still excited about this movie.
