What…the…fuck…Not another human spaceship movie. You don’t have to smoke weed to know this is a landmark meta picture. Although I’m pretty sure it was an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode. And I’m still waiting for Rob Schneider’s “The Stapler”, but Meet Dave should hold me over on the surreal front. A Spaceship is a perfect fit for Eddie Murphy too even more so than a dragon or donkey. They should call it Men in a Black. MY MIND man seriously though Eddies got the dual/trio roles down, good way to make extra money too. Eddie Murphy is the planet and were all just spaceships flying around on it.

I have in fact seen every movie made by Eddie Murphy but Nutty Professor was the first I had seen because of my age. I have also in fact seen God Father Part I II & III as well as Pulp Fiction not to mention I have also had to sit through Citizen Cane twice because of school. I am a junior in high school and will be going to film school once I graduate and plan on making comedies. I knew posting my comment would get a rise out of the majority of you and it worked. Open your mind and look at what Hollywood has become movies like Norbit will be the norm from now on because people with half a brain enjoy the movies like that. If you do not like these types of movies then so be it but I do not see the need to post crude comments about them. I would guess that most of you enjoyed movies like Talladega Nights and Napoleon Dynamite which I would put on the same caliber as Norbit. It may have been a stretch to say it was the best movie ever but I think it was one of the best movies of last year. I saw all the movies that were nominated for best film and I think Juno is the only one that deserved to be nominated. So please don’t go talking smack without knowing me. I see many movies and enjoy many movies I just think that a lot of people on this website and many sites I visit are extremely closed minded. That’s all for now.

You actually never saw Beverly Hills Cop or Trading Places or Coming To America? Hell what about the Golden Child? And these are just Eddie movies, not counting things like The Godfather or Pulp Fiction which are regarded as some of the best movies ever made.

I have loved Eddie Murphy since the first Nutty Professor. I have seen ever movie since then and I will continue to see these movies because they are the best movies ever made. I’m sick of people saying that Norbit was horrid when THEY NEVER SAW IT, hands down one of the funniest movies of all time. My interest, however slight, in this premise starts and stops right there.

By the way Eddie Murphy does these movies for…

Millions and miillions and millions of dollars.
He reserves judgment for the movie he can get the most money for.

End of mystery…

Anyone else think this idea is left over from Men In Black.
Now that was a cool little green dying alien and his human-like ship.
I’d pay to see that.

Norbit’s makeup… blew; was Halloween-ish. I think the academy was confused because at times no makeup was used to achieve character effects… CGI superimposed Eddies stupid head on a fat woman’s actual body. That’s an effect. Not makeup. The Asian father was terribly terribly done. And not just his accent. They just slathered one coat of flat yellowish skin tone on it and that was it. Wow amazing.

For the record I’m not Asian so don’t dismiss this as vindictive bias.

How does Eddie Murphy keep getting these movies made? Don’t get me wrong, I loved Eddie back in the day… BHC, 48 Hours, etc, but since the Nutty professor days, things have been going downhill.
