They’re still doing additional photography on Wanted? From what I understand Chicago production wrapped in Late August or early September 2007. In February, director Timur Bekmambetov explained in a taped greeting at WonderCon that he could not be there because they are in the middle of filming “additional photography”. And now it’s a month later, and as of last week, with only three months until release, they’re still shooting? Doesn’t sound good…

Reshoots are different than pick-ups…make sure you get it straight as you could piss a lot of people off.

Jay: Pickup shots don’t usually take 4+ weeks… do they? :P

For a feature, sure, if you’re missing a lot of footage.
Reshoots are usually only done if there is a serious problem, i.e. change of actor or ruined film negative.
But if they got into post and the editor/producers said, there is not enough to tell the story or you need more coverage, those are pick-ups.
Course they could be reshooting entire scenes, but if they’re not, first person it makes look bad is the director. Also, ‘re-shoots’ cost a lot more money than pick ups :)

I was in the neighborhood last Sunday morning when they were shooting this car chase. It wasn’t a huge set. No actors, no trailers, hardly any trucks compared to what you usually see. When I asked what they were doing they said they were just shooting a car chase. It wasn’t a whole scene. The pictures above make it look like there was a lot more activity than there really was.

EVER SEEN A FILM CALLED THE BIG SLEEP?

This re-shoot could go two ways, but wont be known until the release date because the re-shoots might be shots that were in the film but might be better with a re-shoot or they might be trying to improve it with the push back that it has been given.
This film is not going to be a normal action film.

Looks like just pick-up shots. Maybe they had to redo some of the stunt/sfx. Doesn’t sound major. Buzz is big on this one. Plus Angelina Jolie looks hot. So I doubt many people will miss it. Atleast not on opening weekend.
