Jumper

Check out Chuck Anderson’s cool but unused Jumper movie poster concept, commissioned by Concept Arts, after the jump. I was going to comment on how much more money Fox could have made using ads with this style of design, but then I noticed that Jumper had already made $173+ million worldwide. As it turns out, Jumper is very popular overseas.

It looks like the dude is surprised by the discovery that he has grown a massive glowing cock. Or that he’s got blinding glow-in-the-dark semen.

This concept is just way too sexual.

This is rad. Maybe they should have put this much thought into the casting.

  3. Gravatar

um, that poster is infinitely superior to the one used….baffling.

Those designs are way better than the final image. I sketched one of them out a step further to prove this:

Definitely better than the final poster.

    Dear Fox,

When No Pattern (Chuck Anderson) does posters for your film, use them! Jeeeze.

Guys & Gals, click the link above in Peter’s post to see what this guy’s all about. Def worth it.

This is better than the movie and I don’t like the poster.

Oh, wow! Although i wouldnt say that official poster sucked, this guy got some tallent.

Thats actually really cool. This artist needs to do more work.

Chuck Anderson does unreal amounts of poster work for companies. I’ve known about him for years and about once a month I’ll see some random store with a new poster up out front and it’s sure enough his design. I can understand why Fox wouldn’t use that poster though.

Great, an angel is giving someone a blowjob.

Yeah - to any movie studios/design companies reading this that do movie posters, it’s time you start putting Chuck to work for you. He would offer something definitely fresh from the same old same old.

Definitely think the over all concept is better than the original, but they could have been pushed more, retouching the actual photography and also bringing in the different global elements to communicate that part of the movie may have helped him get his work across the line. Basically they could have been pushed further. As concept works they are great. Just not finished enough. Not that the official poster is all that great.
