FINALLY!! After months and months of waiting, Universal has released a movie trailer for The Incredible Hulk reboot/sequel.
Whatever company cut this trailer deserves a bonus. I love how you could have no idea this is an Incredible Hulk movie until the last 30 seconds. And the prolonged suspense of seeing the first reveal of the big green guy was handled masterfully. I don’t think he looks much different than the Ang Lee version, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Many feel that Ang Lee’s film failed due to the lack of action and over dramatized plot (oh yeah, and the unfinished special effects superbowl incident). I’m not too impressed by Abomination however, and I’m not sure if they story will be a-level quality we expect from Marvel (especially from all the script reviews I have read). But it definitely sounds like this film will address all the concerns raised by Lee’s failed effort. Watch the trailer, and tell me what you think in the comments below.
You can also watch the trailer in High Definition on MTV. Louis Leterrier’s The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt smashes its way into theaters on June 13th 2008.
Discuss: What do you think of The Incredible Hulk movie trailer?

March 12th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
I of course thought this would be more action packed meaning more Hulk action. But from the look of the trailer it seems that they hold back until the Abomination is way out of control and they release Banner ala Ultimates style into the fray to finish him off. Still I hope the story holds up on it’s own cause I figured it would be all action and hardly any story at all.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
second……best incredible hulk movie everrrrrrrrrrrr
best year for movies that we all like since…..never
March 12th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Uh…
Okay, someone help me out with this.
At least to me, Gollum, the Transformers, Davy Jones, and King Kong were some of the best CGI of their time (which, yes, I know..wasn’t that long ago).
Why the fuck does Hulk and Abomination still look like some CG hack shit?
This is why you don’t have the director of THE TRANSPORTER do a film like this.
Looks pretty weak.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
Also, sorry to double post..but whats up with Edward Nortan’s pompadour?
March 12th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
this trailer is the definition of “meh” to me. CG looks pretty weak and i can’t believe liv tyler is still finding work. seeing this after hearing edward norton was having problems with the final edit has me extremely worried, i see this movie making a lot of money but being a pretty mediocre film.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
Oh My Damn! I likey!
March 12th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
The CG looks worse than the Ang Lee version. That film is vastly underrated, and it will probably be remembered as superior.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Those fools at MTV need to learn how to encode good video… ouch.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I’m not sold on the CGI, but Norton has earned enough credit in my book to give it a chance. Interesting how 3 of our best actors are in comic book movies this year: Bale, Norton, Downey Jr.
The Dark Knight still rules them all.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Monsters smashing things, Banner on the run. Great cast. What else do you want?
March 12th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
I also thought Abomination’s run looked pretty badly animated.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Sorry, this trailer doesn’t do it for me. Not when I have Indy, The Strangers, Funny Games, Iron Man, Tropic Thunder, Wall*E, Dark Knight, Pineapple Express, and a whole slew of other superior movies to look forward to…
March 12th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
man, you guys are tools. its MARVEL for christ’s sake…..if the CGI looks crappy, consider this: it’s probably not finished AND how realistic looking can a giant greent monster get? i mean really. so long as they give hulk the story he deserves, i’ll be happy. shit looks awesome to me.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Hulk looks turtle-like …. its the color! He was too green in the first one and too turtle-green in this one lol!
as for the abomination’s run … roth himself said they made his actions a bit clumsy cos he’s supposed to be unused to running with such a huge size!
March 12th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
The more realistic the subject matter the CGI is trying to represent the better, except when you cross into a human subject. The problem with the HULK and others like him is our own human nature fighting against us, we already know that a ten foot tall giant green creature is not real, and no amount of expensive CGI is going to convince our brain otherwise. This is a huge hurtle for effects right now and isn’t going to be easily defeated. So that’s why the CGI continues to “not look right”. Otherwise it is damn good effects work. (Although the ‘run’ did look a little floaty, maybe they aren’t finished with the final composite yet?)
This looks interesting and I’ll give it a shot. Norton fighting for script and edit is Norton being Norton and that should make the movie better, it always has at least. So I trust that. I also enjoyed the Ang Lee version for what it was, a HULK movie is inherently a silly ass concept when you think about it. But kudos to those who keep trying.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
i think the hulk looks horrible. and abomination looked far too computer animated, i love edward norton and i have to say he does it for me way more than eric bana could.
it will be all about batman, indy and iron man for me though.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
From the trailer it looks like there is going to be tons of movie before he actually becomes or really harnesses the power of the Hulk.
I hope I’m wrong.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:47 pm
THE DARK KNIGHT
END OF THREAD
March 12th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
I liked the first one.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Speed Racer looks better, to be quite honest.
March 12th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Why does Hulk sound Godzilla-like when he yells? Why can’t he sound like a big angry guy?
March 12th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
At least this one looks like the Hulk. Not so much abomination.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
ok so this hulk looks exactly the same as the hulk in the first movie
except that this new one has a bunch of veins poppin out all over his body hehe and the Abomonation doesnt look a thing like the original one and i really hope that he doesnt come out all the way
till the end of the movie cause it would really suck if that were to happen lol
March 12th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
I was in Toronto last year when they were filming this movie. Toronto was made to look like New York and the scene they were filming was the major fight scene in the trailer. I’m looking forward to seeing this.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
looks cool, but i gotta rate it this way:
-for TDK i’ll wait in line opening day, no matter how long.
-for hulk, i’ll see it the second or third week its out.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:20 pm
Oh man - I didn’t really care about this film till now. It looks awesome.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
All that build up and wait …for THAT?!?!
If this trailer is a representation of the film…then like everyone else has stated…they seem to leave the action till the end. Which was the complaint everyone had of the Ang Lee Hulk. Unless that end battle of the trailer is actually in the middle of the film and the second half of the film is all Hulk fights. Which I doubt…..
The effects look mediocre at best…. and TBH I’m really sick and tired of seeing fights at night. I paid to see this film and the Hulk….I want the action sequences to be in the fucking day light for christ sakes.
I’m not gonna pre-judge the whole film….but this trailer is failure.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
meh…
They kept us waiting all this time for this crap????
and regarding CG, hmm… what do u expect??? R&H sucks!!! (aside from the Aslan in Narnia) They never can do a good CG character.
and It’s funny the same people who liked this trailer hated Speed Racer which IMO was a lot lot better than this
March 12th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Got to remember (HOPEFULLY) this is not the finished product and they will touch up were they need to. Norton will make this movie, just as long as rest does not bring it to far down. HOPEFULLY!!!!!
March 12th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
Eh, not sure what all the bitching and fuss is about the CGI. Looks fine at this state. I’m sure it’ll be more polished in due time. Regardless, it looks much better than Lee’s pile of garbage he spewed out to us a few years back.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Ok , I’ve been a hulk fan nearly my entier life the hulk comes second to only godzilla. I really liked the frist hulk movie it had a good story and good action, the movie was good inthat it had hulk doing what he does best smash and fight. I have only have one thing to say about this new film , it will be A FLAMEING PICE OF SHIT!!!. It will make no money or hardly any money and it will DOOM Ed Norton’s career forever. P.S. ED nothing personal I loved you in fight club, but your not Bruce banner.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
It’s good to finally see films get videogame cinematic-quality special effects.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:41 pm

This is why my faith in humanity will never be revived.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
looks shit
March 12th, 2008 at 5:44 pm
CGI is horrible in this trailer. And here I thought Transformers would set a new standard FX wise. I was wrong. Even the running looked fake.
Norton is one of my favourite actors, but based on this trailer.. I think I may pass on seeing this.
Thank god for Ironman.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
Again, this was a teaser. The final film will more than likely look better and the CGI really isn’t that bad. You can’t judge the final film based on what the trailer consisted of. But, hey, who am I to use logic against a bunch of assholes?
March 12th, 2008 at 5:50 pm
Craig,
To be fair, robots and rigid forms like metal, rock and so on are a lot easier to do in 3d than something that’s organic, like say a humanoid form or creature. ILM does well with rigid and straight-forward elements. But as soon as you get ILM to do something involing organic characters, it’s over. The one good thing they hit out of the park and still amazes me was what they did with Davy Jones. He was amazing in terms of detail and skin effects.
R&H are just another CG company who have never done great effect in general. They ruined Superman Returns for me in terms of effects. Same goes for this stuff in the trailer.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
I don’t know why they needed a re-boot. I somewhat enjoyed the original Hulk, except for the whole dog thing. The themes of science, and the whole gamma ray thing was pretty cool, I also thought Bruce’s father had some really cool powers. Could’ve just done a sequel imo. The CGI for this doesn’t look that great.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
The hate on this site just reaches crazy proportions sometimes.
Honestly…CGI should rank about 6th on the importance scale, and yet, everyone has judged this movie solely on the effects.
If anything you kids should be worried about the storyline. Seems pretty plain Jane to me, but the film looks alright.
Also, since when did people really start hating on Liv Tyler?
Summer Rankings:
1. Wall*E
2. The Dark Knight
3. Iron Man
4. Indy 4
Take it easy folks, they’re just movies.
March 12th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Is it just me or has Lou Ferrigno really bulked up for this role! Wow! The movie looks tired, but Ferrigno looks amazing! This could be the best superhero movie since The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
You know, if Marvel really wanted to put all the haters in place, why didn’t they just get WETA to create the CGI elements?
March 12th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
the action and concept looks way better….but im not sold on the CGI!!1
i might go see it….
March 12th, 2008 at 6:05 pm
Sauce,
This is a movie discussion board. People have a right to not take it easy on something they like or don’t. Last time I checked the Hulk pretty much revolves around being nothing or mainly being a “special effect” film. It’s why this re-boot happened. People whined about the first film’s pacing and lack of action.
This re-boot should be all about the special effects since its nothing but a 2 hour battle between 2 fully-CG creatures. So of course people are going to watch the effects closely on this.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
B33,
Because Marvel always try to find ways to cut corners. They obviously went with the cheaper “bid” on effects houses. It’s how R&H won Superman Returns. Weta would make an amazing Hulk.
Just thinking about what Weta could do with a CG hulk depresses me.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
Where’s the epic voiceover? It’s the only thing missing from this terribly conventional action movie trailer. It’s already got the heart-thumping music, the massive tagline introduced to you a few words at a time, and the cutting away to the logo right before the major battle commences.
“One man…. must face…. the most incredible evil this world has ever seen….” Something like that.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
“Because Marvel always try to find ways to cut corners. They obviously went with the cheaper “bid” on effects houses. It’s how R&H won Superman Returns. Weta would make an amazing Hulk.

King Kong was downright incredible and lifelike… It would have paid off even though the CGI isn’t that bad… Though ILM doesn’t compare to WETA in any shape or form.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
The CGI really looks second rate. It’s too bad, the rest of it leading up didn’t look half bad. Certainly Roth and Norton are top notch.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
Captain Awesome,
Before you go flapping your mouth, check up on your facts, R&H had a small hand in Superman, primarily the Brando sequence. Your also talking about a studio that won an oscar for VFX this year for golden compass.
March 12th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
Hmmm, the layers of badness. . . . Silly CG ruins a special effects film. I wonder if Marvel even cares. Ah well, there’s a charm in big budget B movies.
March 12th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
I think it’s going to rule.
March 12th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
@B33
WTF are you talking about ILM has done wayyyy better stuff in movies than WETA ever will.
ILM has worked on photorealistic digital actors (”Davy Jones” in Pirates 2 & 3) as well as giant robots in Transformers. While WETA seems to only be able to work with just creatures, ILM is multi talented.
The CGI in this new Hulk flick looks awful compared to the work of the first movie. The special effects in the first movie kinda made me ignore how bad it was. Don’t see me actually giving a rats a$$ about this one.
Rhythm and Hues just plain suck all around, that plane sequence in Superman Returns was great but how do they go from that to making a giant green monster dude? I don’t even have that same feeling of awesome that I had when the first Hulk trailer premiered on the ‘03 super bowl. What more do you expect from the same company that did the awful special effects in the Golden Compass?
March 12th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Uhmm…. I thought this one was supposed to be better than the last one…
March 12th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
The Dark Knight Is The Best Movie Of 2008…Hulk Will Be Good But Nothing Compares To A Joker, Two Face and Scarecrow Packed Batman Movie…I Think Ed Norton Has Done A Good Job At Bringing The Hulk Back and Tim Roth Looks Pretty Sick In This Even Though He Had No Lines In The Trailer…Im Not Gonna Bash It Because Atleast They Realized Hollywood Made A Mistake The First Time Around and They Had The Balls To Make Another One…Lets Just Hope They Do The Same With Spiderman…Realize Sam Raimi Wasnt The Man For The Job and That Michael Bay Or James Cameron Should Have Done Spidey…Maybe Even Favreau Will Be Interested In Tackling Spidey For The Second Trilogy…
March 12th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
I will definitely see it, but I’m not sure who the target audience is - oh, yeah, the folks who saw the first one. See, the problem is most of the people who liked the first one will probably shit all over this version, and the ones who either didn’t see the first one or didn’t like it, probably won’t bother seeing this new version. I dunno - maybe they just made if for us losers who read slashfilm and would pretty much see anything put on celluloid.
March 12th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
@crazy_one and @captain awesome
Uh, first of all…did you guys both forget of a certain CGI character named Gollum?
Jesus Christ, I can’t believe some of you are sticking up for R&H.
March 12th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
dan,
I didn’t name Gollum since that was also Weta’s creation. And Kong trumps Gollum in terms of realism and amazing detailed character animation. Especially how human they made his eye behavior and mannerisms.
So yeah, Gollum and even that Cave Troll from Fellowship were the kings until Kong came along :)
March 12th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
AWSOME
the bad cgi is probably because they are still in post prodoction
March 12th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
@captain
Okay good just making sure. And I agree with you, that Kong def. overlaps both of those. It’s a shame Hollywood doesn’t get WETA on more films.
Then again, as I already mentioned, you have a hack director who doesn’t know to even manage a film.
March 12th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
“…Our only hope…”??
Jesus, why not just put a cape on him?
March 12th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
AWSOME
the bad cgi is because they are still in post production
March 12th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
to Pants Payroll:
you obviously never read the comics, the hulk is suposed to be about a man usin his curse to benefit the world, this hulk looks like that
March 12th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
@dan
Sorry but I HATE Rhythm & Hues and I was most definitely not sticking up for them…if anything they need to quit making movies all together since WETA, ILM, Digital Domain, and Imageworks are dominating the visual effects market and they’re visual effects don’t even come close to sucking as hard as R&H does.
WETA would have done ILM justice (from the first one) in bringing a certain quality to the movie, rather than it looking like they cut and pasted it into the video which is the case for this trailer.
WETA definitely should be doing more movies, but I think they’re the ones choosing who they wanna work with. I was anticipating what they were gonna do with the Halo movie but that never happened.
March 12th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
I will say that this CG Hulk looks a lot more real than the first one which was good but cartooney. But that doesn’t change the fact of how video game-y he looks in motion.
I liked the first CG Hulk because he was interesting to look at. Not to mention there was more going on (visual effects wise) besides this new Abomination thing.
You can’t lie and say you didn’t like the underground tunnel part in the first Hulk movie. ILM did a good job there if anything.
March 12th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
omg that looks great i now buzzing like crazzy about this movie i am so glad they desides to redo this movie this is going to be kiler
March 12th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
CGI Hulk looks like Mr. T. The Abomination has a spike for a spine? Honestly, this looks worse than the Ang Lee version.
March 12th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
@ crazy_one
are you fucking blind? R&H has made movies like Narnia / Golden Compass/ Lord of the Rings (yes they had a part in LoTR). You obviously know nothing about this industry except for the big names.
March 12th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
better than that dumb first hulk movie this is the best hulk movie yet
March 12th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
@slashsleuth
I guess your a stan for R&H…are you on their payroll or something? Cause the only good visual effect’s they’ve done in their long history was “Aslan” and the plane in Superman Returns.
Face it. R&H sucks worse than a visual effects production company who only does TV shows. Thats why the effects look cheap and the effects in something like, “Iron Man” looks video game-y yet they blend in well with the look and feel of the movie in a high glossy like quality.
What better quality effects do you expect from the people that gave us the visual effects for such movies as “Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties” and “Scooby Doo 2: Monster’s Unleashed”??? Those weren’t very Oscar quality looking movies to me. Don’t see any of those other visual effects companies even making something look that bad.
March 12th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
I still can’t believe you guys think Aslan looks good. He such a horrid pile, just like the other animals in Golden Compass.
March 12th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
@ crazy_one
You obviously need to get off that chair in your grandma’s basement home and stop refreshing this page to respond to every single positive comment made about this film/the studio(s) that worked on it.. Really its quite sad!!
March 12th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
@Markus
What’s even sadder is that you took the time to actually comment on what I’ve said…somebody is stanning for me as well as that wack ass R&H
March 12th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
I liked it. You can’t compare CG in a tiny 4 inch teaser trailer to what the finished product will look like on the big screen. Heck as far as you know it’s YOUR computers making it look cheap. I’ve now watched it twice. On my family’s Dell computer and on my computer and let me tell you, on my computer it looks several times better.
I can’t however see why they made us wait so long for this. This is something that should have been released months ago. We should be getting the 3rd or 4th trailer by now.
March 12th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
I can’t help but notice how they made Abomination look like a Berserker from that Gears of War game.
March 12th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
You must be blind, because you jut said that the FX in Hulk look better than the FX in a history channel production. You REALLY don’t know what your talking about and that is obscenely obvious.
“high glossy like quality.”
what are you talking about? A magazine?
Cheap FX? Would you prefer a dude in a Styrofoam outfit? Or maybe some stopmotion and compositing.
the fact is that the R&H Hulk is obviously superior to the ILM trash that was pumped out in the first movie.
March 12th, 2008 at 9:47 pm
You guys are so harsh on the CG! Slow down the HD vid and look closely. I think they did a great job. I take back what I said about Hulk being a turtle color. And the Abomination is kick-ass. Sure, Transformers set a degree of CG that’s hard to surpass. But these aren’t intrricate robots here. These are big, mean creatures that’re all mutated flesh - and they don’t even exist!
March 12th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
darn …. the abo is much bigger than the hulk! reminds me of the final battle in LXG. anyone remember that one?
March 12th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
all trailer crits aside, it’s just too soon for a Hulk “reboot”. With the other film still pretty fresh, I think this one is going to see some high rental numbers.
March 12th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Marvel is ruling the movie universe!!
March 12th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
@ Captain …something.
I never said that people can’t have their opinion. Let me have mine as well.
All I wanted was to have a discussion, maybe as to why special effects have become so important to films in the past 15 years. Is it because it brings you back out of the world that the film is trying to make? I understand the worry, I look back on one scene in Gladiator, where the Roman guards are killing Maximus’ trainer, and the whole thing just dies right there. Should we blame Jurrasic Park for taking us to the next level?
But, Have we come so far that if it doesn’t look 100% real we feel cheated somehow? That the themes and story in a movie becomes something less? I point to E.T., that movies “Special effects”? Limited. Most people loved it anyway. When they added “extra scenes” with CGI? People liked that less. Same could be said for the Star Wars re-releases. I’m just curious as to when CGI became such an important part of our viewing requirements.
It was my opinion that the graphics I can take or leave. I know that these things can’t happen in real life (Hulk, Superman, Davy Jones, Gollum) and I generally just assume that it’s all CGI and no matter how good it looks I never truly believe it. I’m already a non believer so garbage CGI won’t take me out of their world.
I generally look at films from a literary point of view, so story Has to come first. Then characters and their development, which could Be the story in some cases. Shot selection, lighting, art design, these things I focus on. But that’s me.
Has this thing become just some crazy arms race? And when did we forget that CGI on an online video the size of six stamps won’t look nearly as pretty as a Giant wall sized screen? Shrug.
Maybe it’s too late, and no one will read this. Whatever the case go read this comic.

@Markus
Oh jesus, how immature can you get? If anything he’s NOT in his basement, because he’s not salivated at Hulk’s green genitals. Just because he thinks the movie looks like shit, like I do, doesn’t mean we live in our grandma’s basement.
Christ, I WISH there was a way to prove what we really do..but then I’d probably get harassed :|
March 13th, 2008 at 1:18 am
wow… im really not impressed.
March 13th, 2008 at 4:58 am
I want BIGGER and GREENER
March 13th, 2008 at 5:53 am
Looks better then the 1st one. But then again anything would look better. Big fan of Edward Norton so I will probably go see it…
March 13th, 2008 at 6:22 am
LOL, you people are retarded. Any comic book movie that promises more action is fine by me, especially if it’s a Hulk film.
I mean it’s the HULK! He should be smashing stuff from about 2-3 scenes in.
The movie isn’t even finished being cut and you guys are complaining about the CGI, lol.
I’ll still watch this. This will be a good year for Comic Book movies….
Hellboy 2, dark Knight, Iron Man, and Hulk.
Hell yeah
March 13th, 2008 at 7:11 am
The colors and CG look “muddy” Hulk looks like he is wearing black lipstick……I hope this doesnt suck
March 13th, 2008 at 8:09 am
I don’t know why everyone is bitching about the CG. As I understand it, film makers haven’t even been able to cross the uncanny valley with humans yet, let alone gorillas, imps, octopus men and giant robots. What makes everyone think that they should be creating realistic monsters either? I mean, what’s to say that Jurassic Park’s Dino’s weren’t horribly unrealistic? But we all suspended our disbelief then… and so it wasn’t a problem. I noticed this about I Am Legend’s critics too. The monsters weren’t “realistic” enough. Well how about you show me how a real vampire looks, and we’ll go from there.
I think the CG represents a faithful reproduction of the comic book Hulk. I think it looks fine. Thats that.
March 13th, 2008 at 8:24 am
It was a well cut trailer, that being said, the whole “Rivals Running Towards Each Other Until They Collide” theme is getting kind of old. . .
March 13th, 2008 at 8:29 am
@Sauce. . . Good analysis of CGI.

what i didn’t like about the 2003 version were the angular lines on hulk. he was too squarish in that one - the chest looked almost like steel plates.
i bet the hulk v. abo sequence will go something like this: abo gets the better of hulk cos he’s bigger. the military wants to blow both of them up. betty ross pleads to them not to. hulk finally summons up a final burst of energy and 1) slays the abo by impaling it on something or 2) takes it down and have it transform back to human form. i’m rooting for the former.

I think at MTV, HD means large, takes forever to load, fuzzy, blurry piece of crap quality.
March 13th, 2008 at 10:39 am
So much hate in this forum, lol.
@Sauce *thumbs up*
It looked alright. It didn’t excite me but didn’t disappoint me. Looks like my decision will come down to word of mouth and reviews.

The trailer left me kinda worried for this movie. I see alot of regular movie goers saying “Didnt they make this movie already?” or “Part 2?! Part 1 sucked ass!” I think this one will be for the fanboys only.
Ironman is what I’m waiting for!
March 13th, 2008 at 11:07 am
To all of you who are complaining about the CGI, remember the Iron Man Super Bowl spot? You complained about how that last shot looked ringing a bell? well in the latest trailer the shot looks better, so it’s easy to assume that in the next trailer the shots will look better, post production is a long process, even continues into the month of the movie’s release like LOTR: The Two Towers, basically when the movie comes out the CGI will look better than what we’ve just seen, but who gives a crap I think looks pretty awesome, and way different than the last one, Abomination looks awesome he retained some reptile characteristics anyone notice the tiny sail? So here’s some advice Don’t be quick to judge.
Some guy from the studio probably looks at web sites such as this so maybe he’ll do something about it, but yeah even with Iron Man,Hulk, and Hellboy Coming out this summer The Dark Knight is still tops on my list of must sees
March 13th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
After reading through all of the comments I agree and disagree with a lot of them.I watched the preview last night and I thought it was really good and was worth the wait!!!!
March 13th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
I hope that they redo and touch up on the CGI, before they release it. I was hoping that they at least adopt the CGI effects from the first Hulk film, just reduce the Hulk size from fifteen feet to at least seven or eight feet. I believe abomination should at least stay original to the comic version, but hollywood never stayed true into keeping a comic book originally from the comics. This movie remind me of the movie Van Helsing, nothing but pure action. I think that I will see this film, because I love action. So tell everyone about this movie.
March 13th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Im tired of reading all these posts of hating this trailer. It ruled, so shut up ans stop judgin it by its CG. Lets use the Cloverfield teaser for example, the Statue of liberty head and the explosion CG sucked, i know, but when the movie came out, the explosion rocked and was bigger and more realistic as was the head. Am i right? So shut up about it. I mean, i dont care if its 2d animation, as long as its better than the Ang Lee version, im seeing it. And since when did CG start to matter anyways? Just stop shoving insults, its unfinished animation and if im wrong when the film comes out, you can all call me what you want, i’ll probably deserve it, but please, just….shut up.
March 13th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Mark my words… years down the line, the Ang Lee film will be known as the stronger, better flick. This is just a ball of hype filled with scum scrapings from the original. It’s being made to make money, not to make a good film. I’ll watch as you cattle “moo” through the line at the box office. I’ll be home waiting for a decent film to be released.
March 13th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
I think the CGI is all that’s bad about the trailer and to be honest it isn’t abhorant. the look of the hulk is cool, its just not real enough. I think this could be better than ironman, or as good. don’t kill off the hulk because CGI isn’t mind blowing. you’ll kill the series, and a very talented young actors gambit. In all likelyhood the man who wrote Frida i.e. Edward Norton has probably come up with a damn good script, with good performances. especially since he wanted to go for the Dark knight and create a franchise. I think all they need to do is hire another company for the sequel. Please, please don’t kill the Hulk becayuse some stupid studio execs decided to cut corners. this could be an amazing trilogy. jp
March 13th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
I agree with giantman
How do know what a giant green man looks like
and we cant make everybody happy and I think Marvel has done the best they can do
None of you can do any better
also some idiot up there said somthing along the line of how it was the directors falt,I go to school for movies and the director dose not do the cg he only agrees to it and there not that much we can work with , CGI can just do so much
so to all yall haters out there
why dont you make you own Hulk movie and just forget about seeing this one so I can see it and not hear you babys whine about it in the theatre
March 13th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
u assholes the dierctor said that the movie shots or frames for the trailer is not finished yet they said that thats why they took so long for the teaser to come out and they did their best to make one early so the CG effects are not yet finished the offical trailer with the final result of the CG effect will be only in theater attached to doomsday if u ppl would have read a liitle more about the film u will prolli kno why the teaser looked like dat damnnn cant believe u ppl critised a movie teaser dont u ppl kno wat a teaser a teaser is something to get u hyped and sometimes does not have anythin to do with wat the gonna show in the movie and also he also added that that was the final scene which lasted about 26 mins so fuck all u guys who thinks this movie sucked bcuz u hatin on it nd u aint no fan of it
March 13th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
I think alot of you guys expect to much from CG. The Hulk was a risk which studios weren’t willing to hedge there bets on because people like yourselves whine and bitch before you’ve seen it. I personally am a Hulk fan, and an Norton enthusiast. Hulk/banner is a deep and psychologically intriguing character which Norton could pull off. Ibelieve in it. the trailer is not as good as Iron man, but hey Iron Man is more trailer friendly than the Hulk. I think anticipation for dark knight is making people overrate the trailer. To be honest, we all want to see the Joker, so Dark Knight trailer gave us what we wanted, but it wasn’t amazing and niether was the original trailer for the first movie. it is only in retrospect having seen how amazing the film was that we look at it in awe. if I had know biases towards my two favourite hero’s hulk and bat based on the trailer Iron man is all I’d see. to be honest from the intensity and seriousness with which all the actors in these three films have taken it, I| believe all will be great. Give Hulk a last chance. trailers aren’t everything. and really Bruce Banner is a dark, brooding solitary fugative. he’s not going to be as immediately appealling as Tony Stark a flamboyant, Billionare with cool weapons.
anyway that’s my thoughts. cause when Hulk 2 - or 3 for the retards that still can’t get around the fact anglees film was shit and actually had hulk dogs so they had to create a seperate film- gets less funding than this pic, and you see, this film on the net or video, realising hey its not actually that bad hell its even quite good. oops we ruined what might have been quite a good franchise, with good ideas, you will probably regret it, since CG can be changed for sequels, but if Hulk is black listed we will never get such talent working on it again. then we will see trully awful Hulk movies.
March 13th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
I seriously thought the first thirty seconds was gonna lead to a film in the brokeback mountain vein.
On the subject of the Hulk/Abomination’s looks, I just don’t think they look like the actors at all, the CGI looks decent for a trailer, and for most part CGI just has to be left to the imagination because it never looks realistic to me, except for in lord of the rings and king kong (definitely not those dinosaurs though).
March 13th, 2008 at 5:26 pm
oh by the by why wasn’t everyone so hard on spiderman movies, and the CG, which were crap. This Hulk looks alot better. some of you really are sceptical beyond belief., I read one guy being critical of Ed’s haircut. really?!!! I do think perhaps some of you guys really want this to fail. they sould have introduced us to the badguy of the film Tim Roth a bit more. I hope he really is an evil cold blooded Russian. no xenophobia meant by that but I think he could pull it off. although I still really wished they had asked robert Carlyle what he was doing. he could have been as cool if not better for the part. you know have the human blonsky really evil and shouty and stuff. well until you guys stop whining and they raise Tolstoy from the dead to rewrite Ed Nortons draft of the sequel to this movie make mine marvel unless batmans involved cause he’s just cool.
March 13th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
and zak penn said they didn’t use cgi for everything - the abo was a combination of cg and other effects.
March 13th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Just like the hulk. Once word got out about the film, the director said that the hulk would be a mix between makeup and motion sensing. I think the CG is amazing for a teaser. I mean, the Transformers was cool, but this is HULK people not Transformers!!!! Maybe they didn’t want it to be awesome CG like that. But anyways, it might just be incomplete animation. Maybe all the animation has been finished except for the fight scene, have you even thought of that? But, anyways, it doesn’t have to be stunning CG to be a great movie, but i think the Abo design looks pretty cool. Especially the spikes upon his back. And to clear up the weird Abo movements, the creators say that he’s not use to this and he’s too heavy, the street breaks and he’s not use to running in that form. It’s just physics. You want this to be realistic right? Well forget the CG and look at the bigger realistic things.
March 13th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
I’ve came to this world 46 yr’s ago. I’ve witness many gigantic
battles. These battles only get better with time, and common sence. Let’s take this to the next level starting off with The In-
credible Hulk. Way to go Ed!
March 13th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
You continue to defame my character with your crappy cg. Just use real people. It is obvious that your sorry animators are to stuck on their rendering farmacology to even concentrate on a worthy comic hero like the HULK!!! for the luv … of . ..
My heart is broken!!!
March 13th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
What I’m afraid of is that this reboot comes only four years (or 5?) after the first one. Batman Begins came 8 years after B&R, mind. Sometimes perceptions count for a lot - a film might do well but when a critical mass of people blast it loudly, the impression is that the film suck, when it actually doesn’t.
March 14th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
is the psychologist guy at the beginning suposed to be doc samson?
March 15th, 2008 at 9:31 am
I had my 7 year old son look at the trailer with me (of course after I viewed it once to ensure it was suitable). From the mouth of babes who have yet mastered or grasped the “technical” aspect of everything… “wow! Mommy, that was awesome!!!! When can we go see it!!!!”? People! Stop over-analyzing stuff. Try looking at it from the heart and mind of those of us who just “see what we see!!!”
It’s a GREAT trailer. Can’t wait to see te movie.
March 15th, 2008 at 10:04 pm
Wow!! the trailers seems very promising. can’t wait to watch it in theatre. Go HULK!!
March 16th, 2008 at 10:59 am
I think that the film, baed on a to econd clip, i gettin ay too much criticim, i mean come on, um tool i inging cuz he ant hulk to ound like a large angry man hen he yell
March 16th, 2008 at 11:04 am
My god, people are winging cuz hulk doesn’t sound like an angry man when he roars, how sad is that, i mean hello, he isn’t an angry man, he’s a 10 foot, green, psychopath, so come on people, lets not be too pathetic in our criticims.
March 16th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
The trailer seemed petty cool but when it comes to the actual movie, I think the movie will be terrible. I really think that the hulk will only get a little bit of screen time and that the abominatio might only come at the end of the film. The director has already said that the fight between the hulk and the abomination will be 26 min. long. That to me sounds like the climax of the film. The Ang Lee film i think will be better than this one. The hulk in Lee’s showed the hulks true strength. It showed him fighting tanks, helicopters, jets (sort of), and even gamma dogs. This movie isn’t about the Hulk but mainly about Bruce Banner running from the Army while at the same time trying to get rid of the hulk. We saw the Bruce transform into the Hulk 4 times in the Hulk and it seems to me that the Bruce in this film will only transform about 2 times. The director of this film thinks this film will be better than Ang’s just because it has an adjective. An adjective can make a difference but not in this case.

SUMMARY OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK:
Bruce wakes up in foreign country. hears knock on door. Its the army. Runs out of window. Runs, runs, and runs. FLASHBACK: remembers how he turned to Hulk. RUETURN: Runs and runs. Retuerns back home. Meets with Betty and frineds. Army finds him. Bruce hides in warehouse. Gets angry and transforms to hulk. Fight a couple of bald people. Word gets out and army invades neighborhood. Bruse gets captured. Army gets sample and exposes it to Emil. Nothing happens. Days later, Emil transforms into Abomination while in city. Army can’t stop him so they get the captured bruce to stop him. They throw him off a plane and he lands in the city. He fights abomination for 26 minutes. He kills Abmoniation and returns to normal but before the army can get him, Bruce runs again. Runs, runs, and runs.
This movie is just mainly running.
March 16th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
I recently posted a summary of the film but this summary would seem better.
BETTER SUMMARY OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Bruce remember s back when he was diagnosed with the hulk thing. While living in some country army finds him. Bruce is brought home and meets up with Betty and friends. Transforms in old warehouse and army comes to get him. Emil is injected with hulk thing and turns to Abomination in a matter of days through symptoms. Goes to city. Only hope is Hulk. They fight fight in city but fight goes on through the country with some simple running and jumping all done while they are still fighting. Hulk turns to bruce. Abomination escapes. Later on, they fight again and Hulk kills Abomination with a little help from the Army. Bruce is a hero and can finally live a normal life now that he can control ‘it’ . Ross cuts Bruce some slack and they live happilly ever after. Movie ends with the army calling bruce that they need his help again. Bruce says okay and leaves.

When does tyler durden show up to pee in the soup?
March 18th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
I enjoyed the trailer for the most part. The movie is still in post-production so I’m sure the characters will look better when it’s all said and done. I feel like the Hulk is the hardest superhero to bring to the screen because the look will always be debated, and maybe we don’t have the computer technology yet to create something that pleases everyone. Maybe in 20 years or so another Hulk movie will be made that makes this Hulk look as primitive as Superman flying back in Richard Donner’s films. My worry is that this movie my try and compensate for the supposed lack of action from Ang Lee’s and sacrifice story for action and CGI, but I don’t know cuz I havent seen the movie yet. Maybe another Hulk movie will be made down the road that finds a middle ground between Ang Lee’s and Ed Norton’s. However, I’ll wait to see this movie before I make a final decision.
March 22nd, 2008 at 5:25 am
i dont no how some of you guys sleep at night worrying about the cgi….we all no movies are not real so there will always be someone whos not happy with a movie…i used to watch the tv show back in the day(80S) when lou feringo played the hulk without cgi and i used to love it…i think if people did’nt take all these new movie ideas to seriously they would enjoy them a lot more…i you watch the movie and enjoy it great,if dont like the movie youve wasted an hour and half of your life,do’snt make any difference to anybody else because nobody really gives a fuck if you like it or not.
March 23rd, 2008 at 12:41 pm
gak ngurus opo jare ewong2 iki, hulk terus maju
March 24th, 2008 at 2:57 am
First off all of you who think the CG is bad are completely off your rocker. its not as bad as you make it out to be….dont get me wrong i still say ILM beats WETA any day of the week but you have to give it some credit! It looks incredible! I will definitly be there to see it but I agree with the comment made by some above the real movie this year will be The Dark Knight. DC rules all universes!
March 24th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
AWESOME
March 25th, 2008 at 8:15 am
The Hulk and abomination does look terrible but the plot feels like a comic feeling. Hulk smash!
March 27th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
The problem with CGI on the Hulk or anywhere you are animating a mostly naked person is the muscles have to move. If they don’t then it looks fake, like a cartoon or a guy in a rubber suit. Which is one of the things that Ironman has on its side.
My biggest fear is that they will once again get the basic story of the Hulk wrong. The Hulk was created when Gen. Ross detonated a Gamma bomb while Bruce Banner, the creator of the bomb, saved a teenager named Rick Jones. What you end up with is the Hulk is created through a selfless act of heroism. And all three of the people involved feel responsible for the creation of the Hulk. Bruce cause he created the bomb, Ross because he detonated it and Rick because of his recklessness. Any story that doesn’t include the correct origin is not the Hulk. It would be like Spiderman didn’t get bit by a radioactive spider, or Superman not being from Krypton. It’s just not the same character no matter how you dress it up.
March 28th, 2008 at 8:38 pm
Don`t think Norton is a audience attraction, Sorry
April 5th, 2008 at 8:46 am
I don’t like CGI. Rick Baker, Dick Smith, Stan Winston. Use computer and green screen to make actor bigger than others. Stop making garbage.
April 17th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
I grew up on the hulk. When I saw the first one, the hulk looked cool. Then there is this one. He looks like the one I read in the comic books until he became Mr. Fixit and was gray. Anyway, about the film, I honestly believe the majority of you will see it because it has peaked your curiosity. I wouldn’t trash the film just yet. There very well may be other obsticles the green guy encounters before Abomination. Wouldn’t it be cool if he had to face the hulkbuster machines like on Ultimate Destruction!!!! Then again, that would make for a long drawn out movie.
Let your imagination run wild!
Peace
April 18th, 2008 at 6:11 am
why is there so many haters ang lee’s film was great it looked very real it was indeed ahead of its time the new one likes very bad hes not even the real green the first hulk would kill this one
April 21st, 2008 at 3:55 pm
watchmen will be better
April 29th, 2008 at 7:56 am
I agree with tonyf this could be a great show an jus as easily awful only time will tell. I must say Edward Norton is a great pick for Banner in the comics he was no pretty boy he wasnt built he have thin and looked harmless honestly he is geek. This is what the hulk is about he is very weak an at the same time possess limitless power
GIVE IT A CHANCE
April 30th, 2008 at 5:31 pm
The look of the Hulk isn’t as important to me–or not as much–as the story. As long as Norton and Marvel get a good story for this movie that appeals to the audience it will give them the chance to really expand this franchise in future films, and as technology evolves over the years, so too will the look of the Hulk.
May 6th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
I don’t think ang lee’s movie was bad at all. Ok maybe he was a little too green? So freakin what? Yall gonna cry cuz his feet are too big too? I dont think the first story was over dramatized which i heard alot too. Evryone just wants a lot of bang bang pew pew, but i wanna know the hulk as a being too and how both ego’s felt
