Three quick news tidbits that have emerged from Showest in Las Vegas:
Warner Bros has decided to drop the silly/stupid title for Terminator 4, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The film will now go into production without a title, targeting a May 22nd 2009 release.
Iron Man might be released a few days earlier in some markets, a move which was used for Michael Bay’s Transformers last year. Iron Man has held the May 2nd 2008 date for some time now, but will likely now open on Wednesday, April 30th. No official announcement has been made yet, but expect one shortly.
A second trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will hit screens in April. We can only assume that the trailer would be packaged with Iron Man.

Thank god about Terminator… that was a horrible title… hell, just drop “Salvation”, Terminator: The Future Begins is decent. But “Terminator Salvation”?? Why the hell are we saving Terminators?!?

Would be funny if they dropped it and named it T4. I’m still kind of skeptical about this movie, but i think it does have a lot of potential. I’m just not sure about the director, plus the last one was horrible.
Wednesday would be a better day to relaese. If the movie is great, word will spread and more people will flock the theaters. I personally can’t wait now.

I just have to agree that Terminator 3 sucked. When Schwarzenegger is the only one linking a sequel (no Cameron, Hamilton or Furlong), there are going to be problems. Tack on a crap villain and you’re golden. Golden crap.
However, I think they’ve done a pretty fine job with the TV series.

Just call it “Terminator 4″… stop playing with a fancy title to try and get more respect. Terminator was built on raw gritty film styles. “The Future Begins” sounds like something a 3rd grader came up with over his PBnJ sandwich and Hi-C drink next to the fat kid in the school cafeteria.
Damn… do I have to take over the film academy?
