Why its so damn awesome: The film is set in the real life town of Xenia, Ohio after a tornado has come through and killed most of the adult residence. Local kids get by on killing cats with pellet guns and selling them to the local butcher for money so they can buy glue to huff. There's a a bad ass skater how wears pink bunny ears, a 12-year-old gay transvestite, two albino sisters who shave their eye brow's and even a guy who pimps out his retarded sister. There are only 5 are real actors in the film, the rest of the 40 plus characters are actual residents of the town. Most of the sets are actual houses in town as well.. (All very Dogma95.) Director Harmony Korine uses different kinds of film and style to tell a non linear, bizarre and deeply disturbing day in the life of the white trash residents of Xenia Ohio.
