Jesse:
you're an idiot. this movie is a bucketload of fail, whoever wrote the script should be taken out back and shot in the head, twice.

IF KNOWLEDGE IS THE TREASURE OF ALIENS/MAYAN GODS; HOW COME MAYANS DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE WHEEL?

and not a dissapointment. the film has it's flaws, but stop being fucking Communists and Nazis! the film may have had frequent flaws, but was truly worthy of the great adventure. i loved it, was mor excited than i had ever been at a movie, and not because i'm your usual crass moviegoer.

a great return to the old school, a great reference to the classic indy films. it's truly great they didn't break the tradition. Should be the official poster.Looks great. it does look fake, but that's part of it's appeal. the faces are supposed to look like a painting, not real life, that's what made the oldschool posters great.
LeBouff is in the film, so it's only right that he is there. i find interest in the fact that although a new actor and somewhat "teenybopper" in image, he is on this poster and still stands among the others also on the poster.

Triumphant return to the oldschool.

This farfetched installment of the Indiana Jones series is a mockery of the original ones. I was very disappointed with the plot and the plot device as they were extremely over thought. I think this movie was overdone because they thought people wouldn't keep interest unless they took it over the top but it only made the movie that much worse. Indiana Jones needs to be kept what it is, an adventure, not a science fiction. Lucas was wrong for thinking that this movie wouldn't be as appealing if it didn't go over the top. Although there were a few unbelievable parts to the first three, most of the plot devices were centered on the power of God which most people believe as plausible (leap of faith, the ark consuming those who seek God’s power and the cup of Christ causing the temple to crumble when taken past the seal). These are all believable but the plot device in Indiana Jones 4 had to do with ancient skulls and aliens. Just because the time period (1950's) was right smack in the middle of the UFO controversies, doesn't mean that the movie should have anything to do with them. Another repetitive annoyance was the numerous jokes and humor references to the previous films. One or two would have been fine, but this one was just trying too hard. I think it was the only thing Lucas could do, besides going over the top with the science fiction strategy, to attempt to relate this film with the first three because of the large time gap. Lastly, I was disappointed with Karen Allen's character Marion Ravenwood. I don't know if she was asked to play the part different from how she portrayed the character in the first installment, but Marion was a loopy, and totally different, character. Overall, I feel that this film was a mockery of the first three, and I don't recommend it. Indiana Jones surviving a nuclear blast, flying at least a mile, and landing safely all while inside an empty refrigerator, disappointment. Thirteen Crystal skeletons combining into one alien being, causing the antagonist's brain to overload of knowledge, ultimately causing a UFO to rise from the ancient ruins only to destroy the ruins and then fly away, disappointment. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a disappointment.

any clues what the cartoon face is on the left hand side amongst the trees? It's under the sword in Blanchett's hand and left of Karen Allen's face. Weird.

Harrison Ford looks like Liam Neeson more than usually. Nice anyway, it simply could not have been something different from the IJ tradition.

I can't believe no one has said this yet...It looks like the Star Wars posters. I'm not saying that its a bad thing, but its basically a spitting images of the prequel trilogy posters.

Anyway, I think the poster looks pretty cool. Shia and Cate on either side does look a little awkward, but eh, not too shabby. I'll probably end up getting this one too.

PLOT SPOILER! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE PLOT SPOILED!!!!

Shia is more prominent than "Short Round" because he is going to be the next "Indy". Shia will be spun off to save the franchise.

You heard it here first

I think people's excitement for the movie is interfering with their ability to judge the quality of this poster. It's not a good poster -- looks like it was done in photoshop by adding effects to photographs. Remember when movie posters were drawings or paintings that contained a feeling of myth?

check out this crop of "The Goonies" poster:
