Judging by the teaser image above, I can’t blame you for mistaking it for The Smurfs Movie, but it’s really the final poster for the Judd Apatow-produced rom-com Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The poster tags the movie as “The Ultimate Romantic Disaster Movie” and the design has a lite, slacker-esque feel that is somehow appealing to both sexes. Star Jason Segel, playing a dude who goes to Hawaii to drown his breakup sorrows only to encounter his TV star ex, gets the man-child misery just right.
The full poster is after the jump, and we’ve also attached the recently released teaser-poster that promotes the domain/tonal change of the film’s official site, ILoveSarahMarshall.com, to IHateSarahMarshall.com. I’m still not convinced this flick will be on par with Superbad or Knocked Up, but hey, it beats Fool’s Gold.
Discuss: How aware are you of April’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and does anyone have an ex who later became famous?

That second one is awesome. I’m a fan of minimal posters that dont really look like movie posters.
Although that first Iron Man poster that was posted earlier is also amazing :P

I saw this movie on at an advanced screening Wednesday in Tysons Corner, VA.
Now to be honest I’ll admit I have a huge crush on Kristen Bell, as do most men with a pulse. This was pretty much my only reason for wanting to check this film out and truth be told I’m glad I did.
If you can forgive the quick transition from Bell/Segel break up to Hawaii scenes in the beginning of the film then this actually turns out to be a rather enjoyable, albeit easy going, movie. And its actually funny.
Jason Segel (from HIMYM) really had a sweet gig imo. He wrote the film and then was able to get Bell and Mila Kunis cast as his romantic interests, thats enough to be labeled a big success in my book.
Good parts:
The story telling is aided by random flash backs of past relationship situations (Bell buying bad shirts for Segel, Bell making Segel hold purses, etc) and are actually really well done. They kind of intersperse with good comedic timing and flowed rather well.
If anyone has ever broken up with a partner after a long relationship then I can guarantee they’ll find this movie satisfying and funny.
The audience was very vocal in its viewing as there were plenty of laughs and quite a bit of clapping.
Russell Brand is great. This was my first time seeing him in anything and I’m sure it won’t be my last. He worked really well as Bell’s new British Pop Singer boytoy.
Billy Baldwin has a small and funny part as well.
One note, stick around at the end of the film, Jason Bateman has a scene at the end that was pretty funny.

My name is Sarah Marshall and while some people who also share the name of the girl in this film are getting upset with the advertisements i think its a great way for the movie to get attention because if i saw you suck and then anyone elses name i would want to know more.
