Dragonball

Dragonball Z fans who were hoping to get some big screen live-action love this Summer will have to wait just a little longer. Actually, they’re going to have to wait until next year. Fox has decided to move James Wong’s Dragonball from it’s announced August 15th 2008 release to April 3rd 2009.

I’m guessing that Fox wanted to escape the already stuffed August weekend where the film would have gone head to head with Paramount’s Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder, George Lucas’ Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the Emma Roberts comedy Wild Child. Dragonball is the first film to claim the April 2009 date.

i think they should push this back even further. 2015, maybe.. the ideal release date would be Never.

Fox must be pretty freaked out to make such a move

I’m sure this has got something to do with them admitting that this dragonball movie they are making will suck so much that it will simply flop when put to compete with the big films coming out in August, and that it may be safer to release it in April when there won’t be many competitors coming out. Or, they may be thinking that an extra eight months would let them create more special effects propaganda to fool the ignorant into the cinemas.

Anyway, those in the right minds are either hoping this movie will be delayed indefinitely by next April, or have made plans to boycott it if not.

i admit the mere sound of live action dbz movie with american actors playing the role is flaky but i think james wong u is an okay director.and i’m going to give it a chance, maybe not in theatres but a chance none the less.

i hope they watch or read dragon ball a lot before they making this. akira are you involved?? only you the person that know all about dragon ball. i don’t wanna see dragon ball story and character change from the original.

from the photo, cosplayer-cosplayer much much more good than this character. look at the hair and the costume.
