I was even happier to see that they were going to include him in the Wolv solo flick. From what I have read and from the mere pretense of the movie... I am glad to see they are going to actually dive into WHO ST is, not just let him toss Wolv around and get treated like a dog by Magneto (appropriate, lol). If I have done my math correctly, and a logical deduction... this is the portion of the film that is set in WW II, pre weapon X experiments, etc. Wolv and ST are the only members of the "mutant casting" that were involved with this portion of the filming. Storming the beach during WW II... one MIGHT assume this is when they are enlisted men, not full blown SAVE/DESTROY the world Mutants. Early stages of their mutant selves, most likely how they get ENLISTED into the whole weapon X thing... Wolv and ST are most likely BOTH sporting the old GI haircuts, with the exception of the out of control facial hair in order to fit the time period. Not too hard to fathom that 60 years later, and a lot of experiments/training... he would become the ST that we see in the other X films. Just my take on it... wont condone or condemn it... but at least it looks like they are going to build the character this time... be that good or bad, we will see. Marvel has some say so in this...
