cote:
«Lucas and Spielberg have nothing to do with it => look at the Star Wars DVDs, the Young Indiana Jones DVDs, etc… They took their time making quality DVDs. This is all Paramount. In Charlton Heston’s voice: “Damn you Paramount! Damn you all to hell!” »

It's not necessairly paramount, look at the '' ONCE UPON A TIME'' transfert: It's excellent

For sure, paramount has made awful transfert in the past (godfather,...) but it's the same thing for MGM (AMITY ville ; USUAL SUSPECT first edition) When we search, indy's transfer is quitty good . There are somme artefact for sure but is very acceptable

In the video
I had only seen two or three scene that have to be reworked (one in raiders: when the jeep fall down ; one in the temple of the doom: when they fall in boat (I think they don't like the fall :) )

In the audio :
The ENGLISH TRACK is very good (very difficult to complain about)
when there is a lack its in the translation track, I have french friends who find the transfert pittyfull but IT'S ALWAYS THAT WHIT FV (and I seen a lot of French track worst than THAT
Any way the original version is the best

Other: You have to know that : these are old movies and we can ask for as good as a new one. (It's also not commic) Yes the stars wars dvd were better but for M. LUCAS Stars Wars is the only matter
and he «consider» Indy adventure like B-Movies (In my mind stars wars look more like B-movies.) He release indy's movies first to make a «test») Damn him, I hope that a day he will wise up and inverste the priorty. STARS WARS: B-funny space battle movies
Indiana jones (raiders in particular): fantastic A movies with a wonderful casting

Well, I don't have them on DVD yet, so this is good news for me; and a perfect way to go into Crystal Skull.

The full press release implies the transfers are the same as the previous release:

"Released by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Entertainment, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Special Edition DVDs boast all-new, exclusive bonus features that dig deeper into the making of these cinematic milestones than ever before. All three were originally restored and remastered in 2003. Created with fans of all ages in mind, the bonus features provide never-before-seen explorations of the making of these classic movies and showcase the characters, action and extraordinary visual effects that have made the movies indelible cinematic treasures."

Does anyone know if these are the same video and audio presentations ffrom the previous DVD releases? like, aside from the new features, is there any difference? i only care about the movies, anyway.

thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure Spielberg won't do commentary tracks. In the past he has said "the movies speak for themselves".

That philosophy doesn't extend to promo pieces and featurettes, obviously...
