I just realized how harsh my comment sounds. Sorry about that. I truly did enjoy reading the post and the rest of the coverage.

Kelly, I passed your comment on to Pete earlier this morning.

Given the nature of the convention coverage (listening, typing w/o a recording device), there's always a chance questions (more likely) or answers (less likely) will be misheard.

Either way, I hope you enjoyed reading the remainder of this post and the other WonderCon convention coverage this weekend.

I was at WonderCon. This article got it WRONG. The question wasn't what movie they wanted remade. The question was what movie made them want to get into filmmaking. Go read other articles about this, they got it right.

Drfiresign, I completely agree. The usually receptive audience didn't react enthusiastically to Carell's remark. Heck, I wasn't too happy with Segal mentioning Young Frankenstein as his remake-of-choice. I know Brooks was involved in the recent Broadway musical/adaptation, but it wasn't as well received by critics (and I believe) audiences as "The Producers."

Good news, but let's hope Carell never gets his Strangelove wish. I'm all for updating material, but this is one of those masterstroke films that cannot be touched.
