I’ve been beginning to think that Universal’s The Incredible Hulk sequel/reboot doesn’t even exist. The film comes out in less than four months (June 13th 2008), yet, aside from two photos released for 2008 preview pieces and some leaked poster designs, no official pre-publicity has been released from Universal. SHH! has learned that the first trailer for The Incredible Hulk will hit in early March. I wonder if Universal will premiere this new trailer at WonderCon this weekend in San Francisco? My guess is that the trailer will be attached to 10,000 B.C., which hits theaters on March 7th.
Discuss: With all this pre-release sparkle for Indy 4, The Dark Knight and Iron Man, do you still even care about The Hulk?

Well, to be honest not really, but that doesn’t mean i won’t be going to see it.

I’m looking forward to it… I love all movies superhero related. (Elektra doesn’t count. I’ll never see that)

I hope it will be awesome. But do you think since they have not shown anything yet
it’s not going as well as planned?

I just hope there is a Hulk dance scene, like in Spider-man 3.

My guess is that they’re still working on the CG effects. Remember how the sneak preview of the last Hulk at the Superbowl gave everyone the impression he looked fake? Maybe Universal wants to make sure he looks really awesome this time round before showing him off.

every other movie on the planet (especially comic book movies) puts out trailers & promo stuff months, sometimes a year, ahead of time - so i think its a nice change. Every movie doesnt need to be marketed the same way. Itll be a nice suprise, & we’ll all see it regardless. Norton + the big green guy is a lock, marketing has no effect on the overall content of a good crew/script.

Fans of the Hulk character and any other comic book hero, etc. will continue to go see those films because for the most part at least any movie around a comic book hero is good, it may not be great but thats all in the eye of the viewer our own critical point of view.
Just like I found this great movie site, which shows originality in this film which will be out in arthouse theatres, etc. this year and if you like movies like “The Omega Code, The Davinci Code, and any prophecy movies. This one will be great , and GOOOO HULK KICK SPIDERMANS WEB BUTT!
INTERESTING IDEA THOUGH, TAKE TWO COMIC CHARACTERS AND HAVE THEM BATTLE ONE ANOTHER - SPIDERMAN VS. HULK ,ETC. AND MAKE IT A MOVIE.

josh,
there’s no doubt in my mind that marvel will eventually resort to that.

clarence, you may be onto something.
don’t want to send out half-done effects work - like we saw in the ‘indy’ trailer.

I’ll see this because I’m an Ed Norton fan and a Hulk fan. It’s the nerd in me.

An interest about The Hulk in 2008?
Just because of Edward Norton: YES!

Isn’t it awesome that all these great actors - Bale, Downey Jr and now even Norton - are playing superheroes? Its giving the genre a big thespian boost.

Maybe this is just a reverse marketing ploy…kinda like the Reverse Psychology for marketing. Just tiny hints and pics. I don’t think it’s holding well in the face of stuff like Indy IV and Batman, but I’m still looking forward to it.

I’m looking forward to it, because of:
A) Ed Nortan
and
B) The crossover scenes, which could potentially lead to an ensemble Avengers flick.

I am anticipating this more than IJ4 and TDK.
So ya i will be there opening day. I am actually more interested in this than iron man.

Despite the fact that I’m totally fangirling over Dark Knight and Iron-Man, Norton doing the Hulk still holds a ton of interest, yes. I’m really curious to see his script/acting/superheroing. Plus, man, Abomination!

Back in December, when I first saw the trailer for The Dark Knight, I totally forgot that the Hulk movie was even being made, and I got the same feeling after I seen the Indy 4 trailer.
I think after seeing the first one, i kinda tuned out to the aspect of a second Hulk movie, my problem with the first is mainly the flashy, fancy editing, and no known Hulk villain, but now I’m looking forward to seeing this one because of Abomination, more superhero movies should feature the hero’s negative double. (Come on Mr. Singer! I want to see Bizarro in the next Superman movie, Smallville is not good enough)
BIZARRO DESTROY!!!!!
