were-wolf-in-cape.jpg

The MTV Blog has gotten its paws on this exclusive figurine pic of the character Wer-Wolf from May’s The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The character is “a half-human/half-wolf hybrid that operates 24/7, regardless of full moon.” This thing reminds me of some beastly creation from Rod Serling’s Night Gallery, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a lycanthrope wearing such a pronounced cape. A b-ball jersey, sure. I dig it. You?

Keicharones, you do realize that this is just a toy/figurine version of it right? lol Did you expect real fur and a real flowing cloth cape?

So… personally I like it. I just hope it’s more lanky looking with proportions closer to but not quite that of a human. I could also do without the cape too. I’ve read these books so many times and in every printing I’ve read, if there was art of it, it looked like this just stretched a bit like I said above.

Oh, you mean this film isn’t a stop motion plastic toy feature film?
    Just kidding…
Yeah, I realize it’s a toy. I also realize that it’s a ware-wolf wearing a cape and the first installment they made for these films was terrible. I can’t imagine adding a literate ware-wolf (I assume it’s literate because there is already a talking lion) to the film is going to make it any more redeemable.

I’ve seen this dude before. The beast from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story surprisingly well, all thinks considered… i heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not the case
