Only thing imo that Lucas could do to alleviate that shortcoming might be to roll the dice and introduce some further plot twists that no one yet knows or sees coming. Much the way that hunter has evolved into a discussion censoring nazi. Afterall one of the major gripes about the prequels was that we already knew the end. Maybe dwelve more into Anakin's exact origins, as that is still a big question mark. Was there a father? Was sidious invlolved? Why Shmi (sp?)?
