ABC Family has hired 7th Heaven creator Brenda Hampton to create what appears at first glance to be a rip-off of the popular indie dramedy Juno. TV Guide offers a detailed synopsis for this yet-to-be-titled upcoming series about a “Fifteen-year-old” who gets pregnant and “struggles to deal with her feelings for Ricky”, the “father”. The main character has “loving but ‘nice’ middle class parents” and “supportive but not too helpful” friends.
I’m sure next week we’ll learn that ABC has greenlit a few new pilots: One about cars that transform into robots, another about a bunch of middle age men who like to ride motorcycles, and another about an animated princess who gets trapped in the harsh real world.

Woah dude. Juno was awesome. But lets be serious. If your going to do anything with a movie TV show, it’d have to be a sitcom set in Sparta involving a couple that have kids before they are married. Of course, there would be fake audience reactions and applause for everyone.

Or how bout a show about a wise cracking,shadowy loner who travels from town to town, meeting folks in trouble….like Kane in kung-fu….but at the end of every show, he flips a coin and decides whether or not he’ll kill them for no reason with a air powered head hammer.

It’s happened to the best of us Zap, I’ve learned to shrug it off and never offer my viewpoints on this site, as if those who run this place don’t agree with it, it will be deleted and never heard of again.

Zap: And I can 100% tell you I didn’t delete any comments from this thread today. I have been away at screenings most of the day and I would be the only person with access. Maybe it never got posted in the first place. That’s the best I can tell you.

I don’t know why everyone is raving about Juno; because it got tagged with ‘indie’ - and has some cute songs? get over it.
