Some of you are no doubt slumming it in the gutter of your manse’s bowling alley this weekend nursing a fifth of vodka and eternal questions, but right now the Monkees’ “Now I’m a Believer” is ringing in my ears like percussive cheese because: Corey Haim is filming his scenes for The Lost Boys 2! He’s in it to win it. Break out the peach trench coat and bring back the Giant Bedroom Swatch Watch! The photo above is happening again, and right now some dude is getting the image tattooed across his shoulders as a M.U.S.C.L.E. Man squeals on the sax on the beach. What happened to : The Tribe, you ask? It’s dead to me. The well-lit ’70s-era marquee in my head is a trend setter.
STYD reports that Haim has returned to his best character, Sam Emerson, and is now filming scenes for the film that were originally in the script. Director P.J. Pesce is filming the additional scenes, and co-star Corey Feldman is said to be involved, which means that the duo’s ongoing tension is not botching the reunion. Can you imagine a film where both Coreys appear but don’t share a scene like Bruce Willis and Uma Thurman? The world knows no such lows.
Corey Feldman dropped some foreshadowing, ruby-colored chum in the deep waters on his meta-blog, The Feldman Journal, a few days ago saying…
“I did my ADR for the film a couple of days ago and it looks really good all cut together. Rumor is circulating that we may be doing some additional photography for the film, assuming pick ups or scenes from the script that we didn’t initially get around to. Which to me is a very good sign, because the studio usually doesn’t bother if they don’t really likea film. So it seems your positive energy is working. I also got a chance to see some of the treatments for the comic book series and I can promise you it will help fill the gaps between films in a very cool way…..you will not be disappointed!!”
He additionally implied that The Lost Boys 2 is headed theatrical…
“I want to say that I have been shocked and overwhelmed with the movement that you all have created on behalf of LB2 going theatrical….it’s amazing how dedicated you guy’s are to the cause. Apparently there are several on-line petitions going on created by you the fans and they are really gathering momentum. I would like to thank each and every one of you who has taken the initiative to do this. It has been so overwhelming that last week we received phone calls from the studio asking if I was behind this.”
He went on to not mention Slash Film’s (Hunter’s) deep undercover involvement in this campaign. I’m giving it all I can, Captain. And filming for the second season of The Two Coreys is ongoing, which, in my opinion, is an amusing, genuine, and amazing marketing stunt for The Lost Boys 2, but don’t quote me in Blog Court.
Why does this film matter? Let me say this: After watching Rambo (10/10) and a few days later watching There Will Be Blood (10/10, um, I’m trying to review it) incredibly stoned, I want theatrical Nirvana in my lifetime. I want to sit on clouds and bask in colorful ’80s pulp dug up from amazingly confident dirt and given neon injections + I want to shiver in the glory of only-in-’07/’08 There Will Be Blood life-slap bug-outs. During my first visit to the DMV, I remember the smells, the instructors, the videos. I remember looking at my friend who passed when I didn’t (due to “negative attitude”), and I remember thinking W.W.C.H.D. I am able to drive an Audi because of Corey Haim. I want to watch him smile again with his mouth half-agape, eyebrows raised and the sound of a “Ahh, Ahh, aHah.” That sound/(emotion?) got me many a hot girl when I was too young. Warner Bros. better release this in theaters. That is nearly a threat.

Ive been waiting a long long time for this to happen. Really hope they are genuinely back together to film this one. The film is a classic and the two Coreys represent a time that was extremely fun and exiting and a bit innocent, which, in this day and age of craziness, i dont hold much hope of seeing again which is a shame. Was lucky enough to meet both of them at the Milton Keynes comic convention in 06.
Shame Michael Hutchence isnt still around to do a 2008 rendition of the INX’s/Jimmy Barnes ‘Good Times,’ or ‘Laying Down the Law.’

Lost Boys is my favorite movie of all time! There are so many great quotes from the original. I have always loved “the two Coreys” and am so excited that they will both be in the sequel. Hope it’s as memorable as the first. Can’t wait to see it!

I have watched all the Haim feldmen movies….feldmen then you were great,now you are just in love with yourself and selfish. Haim has went through bad times and if you were his freind you should have helped him through not talk about the man behind his back.

I’m sure this will be great. As all there movies have been.
I think this is just the kind of thing Haim needs, something to boost his self confidence and keep him on the str8 and narrow. They’ve both had it hard growing up but I think Haim has had a lot of bad bounces, while Feldman seems to keep on truckn’.
“Fel-dog” can be a big help to Haim if he didn’t worry so much about the +/- impact on his own career. . . Never leave a fallen man behind.

To tell you the truth I’m very excited that Haim has a part in the new movie, I am however disappointed that his part isn’t bigger. I mean he was basically the star of the first movie and in this one he just makes an appearance, he deserves more then that. It really makes me want to see this movie even less.

I have grown up watching both Haim and Fieldman with The Lost Boys and License to Drive being two of my favorites of Haim and The Goonies being my favorite of Fieldman. I am looking forward to seeing an adult acting career for both Coreys. They are both exceptional actors and can only get better with age and experience. I look forward to seeing the movie Lost Boys II and more to come! Best of luck to both!!!!!!! I only hope there are more supporters for our favorite youth actors to make a comeback on the big screen in this day and time!!!!!!

I remember when Haim was selling teeth on ebay to pay for his drug habits… I almost lost all hope he gets back on track. Thank god i never gave up i really do think the worst is behind him.

I’ve been waiting for this moment this would be great for the two Corey’s special Haim he really needs this and despite of his past we have all done good and bad in our lives but this takes allot of guts to for him to come this far and to show the world he does want to change! Corey Heim….just watched the episode of “The Two Corey’s” of yoru first day on set…..what a disappointment huh?!?!? Well, I can’t say I know how you’re feeling, but what I can say is that we are pulling for you. We all want to see you make a come back, but sober! Stop lying to yourself and others…..if you know you have a drug problem….DON”T take ANYTHING!!! Even if it takes the edge off…..you’ll have to find another outlet of some sort! Find a group, a sponsor, anything! If you find yourself wanting to use…..talk to someone and get someone to help you through those times! We can’t wait to see this movie come out with you doing fantastically in it! Keep pluggin’ at it….and by all means DO NOT give up! Wishing you strength, truth, and honesty!!!

All I have to say is that every person has had some sort of down side in their life and I believe more than anything that Corey Haim will come back stronger than ever. I am so stoked about the show & being able to see him on TV again. If anyone knows how to be able to send messages directly to him please let me know!!!! Heaven! I’m in heaven! Teehee! I am looking soooo forward to see Corey Haim shine on screen! I feel a deep heart felt joy for Corey! Congrats!!! I don’t feel like he ever went away, it’s like an old friend that moves out of state and you miss them like crazy, and then they move back in town and it’s like they never left! We just catch up, talk about old times and make new cool memories!

I just saw Lost 2 it was such a shame that Corey Haim wasn’t in the movie I’m prob about the same age as the 2 Coreys and have seen everything they have ever been in they always had this chemistry 2gether and it’s a real shame that they can’t get on the same page not just as actors but as friends. They have been through so much 2gether and you can tell that they both have alot if love for each other. My heart really goes out to Feldman cuz you can just see it all over his face how much he cares for Haim I’ve been there with my own cousin but sometimes you just have to step back and let them fall but at the same time Haim has so much to othe he just doesn’t see his own worth. I don’t know if they read these things that people write but I hope so cuz I know that growing up they both made me laugh so many times that it be a real shame it let that type of talent go to waste. I just wish Haim would see in himself what everyone else does and not to give up, quit being so defensive people say things cuz they love you not to hurt you. I just had to put in my thoughts cuz I’ve been watching the show and like I said I’ve been along time fan of both Coreys and like I said I’m going through the same thing with a loved one addiction is a bitch but you can over come it! it’s one thing if they decided to not put Haim in it (which was my whole reason for wanting to see it because I think that Feldman did an awful job)… but at least unlist him!! he’s listed as in it on IMDB, and he’s listed in the credits (along with Jamison)! So I basically just wasted an hour and a half of my life for absolutely no reason, and I’m super pissed that he’s advertised as being in it when he’s CLEARLY not!! Yes, he messed up his lines.. he was taken out, fine.. but dont list him as being in it because some people (like me, who happen to love him!) will be absolutely fxcking bullshit!!!!!

Maybe they did this so he has a option to come back for a real sequel to lost boys. You will see when you actually watch it all. Yes it is a shame he was not in it more but how they did it at the end makes you pull your hair out to see another made that tells the story of what happened to him…

You know i been a Haim fan even when he was selling his teeth on ebay for a few bucks…. I even know someone that used to buy stuff from him to get money for drugs. I just never seen him in real life out of shape on drug abuse. Wow the last The Two Coreys TV show really opened my eyes to a glimpse how he was with everyone around him. I will always be a Haim fan but i got to the point i do not think this guy will realize he has real serious issues. He needs Feldman to help him through it but now there no longer buds. After the last 2 episodes & desc of next episode titled Crash i believe they will never work together again sharing enough screen time to matter atleast. I bet a real Lost Boys 2 will never be done showing what happened to haim char at the end of the credits…
I wish Haim luck & i understand the stuff Susie & Corey Feldman giving up is a must do. The comments they said about Haims mom & other low blows like i hope you kill yourself on pills haim was just wrong… There true feelings deep down showed how they always thought of him. Feldman i think was trying cause they did have a real friendship as kids. Now they went through so much i do not think they can ever be connected that well again.
I hope to god Haim seeks help & keeps seeking it cause i think he will not last without it.

I watched the 2 Coreys in all the 80’s movies! Loved them!
I hope Corey Haim will get some help because on the show “the Two Coreys” its not him. What happen to that cute guy with that great smile. You don’t see that anymore. Corey Haim needs to get some help and needs to go to rehab. YOu need a come back but not on drugs. I just hope Lost Boys 2 is as good as the first one. It is one of my favorite movies!!!

I thought the BEST part of the movie was the 3 seconds that haim was in it. He was the most believable character. Thats what i wanted to watch!!! Corey Haim!! The only reason I rented the movie. Thank God he wasnt in the movie. Best move he ever made. Drugs or no drugs.He is a very talented actor, problems, yes, don’t we all. The movie sucked. we were very disappointed. Low budget acting. Haim, if you read these, You are a real guy, that’s what separates you from Feldman. I watch the 2 coreys, and my heart bleeds for you both. Feldman wants to just let loose and be your brother/best friend, but has someone in the way(his wife). He needs to get over his past, in his “happy place”. Perfection is not happiness. It will creep up on him, and consume him. You do not need him for your career, head held high, listen to your assistant, she does CARE. Your realism, your struggles, your pain, your heart and determination make you someone that I would be proud to call friend.

I seen lincense to drive this morning and it was wicked cool. Im really excited to see Lost Boys 2. Ive seen like every movie that has to do with Mr.Haim.So MANY PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO RUN HIS LIFE!Ive seen The Two Coreys and Haims rocky but to me his sto\ill cool.All I got to say is Corey Haim Rocks! Haim rocks people are just worried about him thats all. Feldman is a good guy he just not good for him right now. Feldman is a control freak which makes Haim pissed. What feldman said to Haim was just wrong to tell anyone. I like them both i wish them both luck in the world. I just hate to see Haim in the news saying he died alone with a overdose. But it is his life he seems to be reaching out now. I just hope the people that are close to him keeps going to be there for him.
I know most likely if he screws up more i bet a comeback will not happen. He might be decent for B movies which i would pay to buy them. I just hope he slowly gets better & becomes what we all know what he should be. A good actor in some good movies.

Watched Lost Boys II. Awful movie. I did get fuzzies with ole Edgar and Angus Sutherland has a certain something just like Kiefer but this was not the movie for it. It is not, can not, be Lost Boys without both Coreys and Kiefer.
Haim was god-like to me when I was a silly teenaged girl so I refuse to watch The Two Coreys. I don’t follow his “career” because it’s saddening that such talent gets lost due to “the lifestyle”. So all I can say is that I wish him the best. I’ll always remember Corey-Mania and how pictures of him papered my bedroom and my ceiling. His face was the last thing I saw when I went to bed and the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes. I hope that whatever demons he is still battling he can eventually overcome to find happiness and peace in his life.

Okay…I can’t believe they let them make this movie. It was awful. How could they only give Corey Haim a camio? The first Lost Boys was great…even for an 80s movie. Haim, Weist, Sutherland, and Patrick made that movie. They should have seriously thought about it before agreeing to make such a cheesy piece of “junk”. It could have been written and casted so much better. What a disappointment!
