I dont have an AMC near me at all... in like a 400 mile radius.... lame huh? frickin' Carmike Cinemas. Also I have seen No Country, There Will Be Blood, and Juno 3 times. [side note: I tried to go see Juno again on Saturday and believe it or not it was still selling out all showtimes..]

I would have loved to see all 5 for that price. I woulda had a hay-day. Bummer deal for me

I never had problems when I was younger.

Also, you can just purchase tickets from the automated machine... problem solved.

@Eric and others...

When I was growing up from 11 - 16, it was a real pain to get into R-Rated movies, because I lived in small towns and had to go to a mall or a big chain and they always gave us a lot of crap and made it really difficult (it was harder to get into Fight Club than it was to get alcohol).

That said, I never really got carded too much after I turned 17 even though I look pretty young. And now that I'm in my 20s and live in a big city, I don't really see it happen around me. My question is... is it really still a pain to get into R-Rated movies for younger people and have people found that it depends on what type of theatre and the location (a national chain like AMC, a theatre in a shopping mall, an independent theatre, in a city, suburbs, rural area, etc.)?

I am also bummed that the Emeryville AMC theater isn't showing it this year. I was there last year and the house was packed.

I live in Fairfield and Emeryville was a drive, but now the closest is San Jose, so I am considering not doing it this year. Maybe next year.

It also seems that they dropped the free soda all day part of the deal.

I have yet to see Michael Clayton, but there's no way I want to sit through Atonement or Juno again.

As sad as this is to say, but this is the first time I have ever heard of this. I will definitely be attending! Thanks for heads up.

I actually did this last year, and it was great. I already have my ticket for this year's marathon, got it a week ago, in fact. Last years movies were pretty good (I was pulling for Little Miss Sunshine), but this year looks much better, personally. I've already seen Juno (twice actually) and There Will Be Blood, but the more viewings the better, I say.
It really is worth it to try and find an AMC theater thats participating in it.
